Nice shop. Terrible hours. Noon open on Sunday is way too late. It is 1950. I run (up early), work, have kids. Just went by at 1130 to see shop still closed. Placed my order on Amazon instead and arrives tomorrow. Not worth waiting half hour or coming back the three miles.

Just purchased my first hopefully forever brand Brooks here. After years of wearing Nike Skylux, I was not exciting about finding another shoe after Nike discontinued my favorite shoe. Upon walking in, Kara was AMAZING. She initially bought out 3 different brands and styles for me to try while explaining each one. I wasnt completely sold on either and she said i can tell youre not in-love with either of these let me go get some more options. She then came back with 3 more. All while having a great, bubbly personality. I love love loved her customer service. Please go by and see Kara (i hope Im spelling that correctly) for all your shoe options. I will DEFINITELY be returning to this location.

I work at inpatient wards and walk a lot in the hospital. Recently I need a new pair of shoes since my old shoes are worn out. I firstly stopped by confront one shoes and bought a pair of danskos. However I suffered a knee pain after wearing danskos. Then I happened to stop by this store. I told them About my job, I needed more cushion and ample toe box. The staff listened to my story and recommended me couple of pairs of running shoes to try on. Brooks, Acis, new balance and Hoka. The staff is very professional and attentive. I tried on different shoes back and forth couple of times. And finally decided to buy The hoka bondi. And we also bought another pair for my husband too! The best part about this store is the fantastic return policy compared with comfort one shoes. We can run with the shoes outdoors several times, and if we find out anything uncomfortable, we can return them for refund within 30 days!!! We will definitely come back to this store in the future!!

Excellent running supply store -- had information about local running groups and races as well as all the running supplies I needed to address gaps in what I personally had -- larger water bottles, lights to make me visible for evening jogs, running socks, etc. Prices were reasonable

The shoes are great. I have been buying my running shoes here since 2004. I have never had sore feet after running my 43 marathons. I would recommend getting your shoes at Pacers. The customer service is great and they know what they are doing.

I went here today in desperate need of shoes to help with my shin splints. Needless today, the associate named Esther went above and beyond and helped me so much! She pulled multiple pairs of shoes for me to try, watched me run in them to analyze my form and I was so impressed with the service! I can’t express how relieved I am to have gotten the help I needed and will definitely recommend Pacers to any of my friends who need a good pair of shoes!

If you want the right running shoes for you cadence then Paces is the place to go. On top of that, their staff are subject matter experts on all the shoes they carry. I didnt purchase anything on my visit. Although I really wanted to. With the staffs help I was able to narrow down my decision to two shoes. The brooks adrenaline or the brooks hyperion tempo! I was also told to look at the brooks adrenaline gts. Just an overall amazing experience!!!

Victoria really improved my quality of life when she helped me find the right shoes. A few months walking on cobblestones with elevation changes, a big difference from the flat, sand walking paths I was used to in Houston, was taking a painful toll on my hip flexors and legs. After just a couple of days wearing the new support in these shoes has helped a lot. So great to find someone knowledgeable to help me!

Not the same Pacers nor customer service like I’m used to. She did not tell me anything about the three brands I chose to tried on today. I asked about a new brand I did not recognize, she gave me the name and no other information regarding the shoes. It’s so disappointing when I used to get excellent customer service from previous personnel by telling me the difference in each brand, checking my gait and made recommendations. I will not be going back to this particular store anytime soon.

The staff are wonderful to work with, highly knowledgeable and the selection is great! Ive purchased three pair of shoes, had to exchange one pair after about two weeks of wearing them in and they accepted and were incredibly helpful in picking my new pair, which helped tremendously!

Staff was responsive, prices fit the quality and parking wasnt too insane because it was a holiday weekend. The Pacers Running in DC (Navy Yard) was very helpful and professional. I could see myself visiting here in the next six months. I would recommend both locations. Good luck finding parking by the Navy Yard location though!

Excellent customer service - I bought a pair of Hokas that just didnt fit quite right. I did a virtual fitting session due to the Covid outbreak, which was fine, but theres only so much someone can tell about you over a webcam. The shoes were great, but just not wide enough and gave me blisters. I tried returning them, but wasnt able to because I had thrown out the box and lost the receipt. Kara, the manager, worked with me to make an exception given the circumstances.I highly recommend buying from this store. All too often businesses place their bottom line before customer satisfaction. Alexandria Pacers did right by me and I am very grateful. I will definitely go through them for shoe recommendations and purchases once theyre able to open their doors fully.

I only came here to pick up packet for PNC Classic 10 miler. VA Runners is my preferred store for running shoes and gear.

Love this Pacers! Ive been getting my running shoes and gear from here for a few years now and then staff is always great. Went in here today, and Breanna was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and patient. Im a long distance runner who has flat feet and suffers from tendonosis, and she knew exactly what shoes would work for me, being a runner herself.

The staff is very knowledgeable and love getting engaged with the community. I like being able to walk in and pick up my packet for almost every race in the area, even those not organized by Pacers.They will make sure you are fit with the right shoe, and will give you chances to return or exchange the shoe if it is not the one for you. The stores prices are also very reasonable and competitive, they do not artificially inflate the price of their shoes just because you are in store versus online.

Today 2:23 pm I entered Pacers looking for a phone case for my daughter.No one there offered to assist me two gentlemen came in after I came both were asked if they could be helped. The name on my receipt says Josh Hootstein rang up the sale of the phone case after he offered assistance to the man that came in after I came in I asked him if I was invisible to him “ I saw you were looking “. Customer service was the worst people of color should shop elsewhere. The way this work is first come first serve! The owner of this establishment reached out to me less than an hour after my review. I commend him for this, and that is why I changed my review from one star to a three star.

Good service, welcoming staff. Emily was friendly and patient in helping me choose my new shoes (which I love!). She measured my foot and observed my stride. It turns out I have been wearing shoes a half-size too big for several years now. As an added bonus, the shoes I purchased were around $135, which was a little cheaper than I expected; my favorite New Balance models will usually run around $150 a pair. It is more expensive than going to a generic shoe store, but if you are a serious runner and/or have specialized needs for shoes, then I recommend a trip to Pacers.

This place has pretty good customer service, but if you want excellent customer service work with Brandon. He was extremely knowledgeable and courteous. Also, I liked that he didnt try to pressure you into buying anything. He gave his opinion, but didnt overly hype up anything.

Twice now I have come here and said I know nothing about shoes, help and these people have been awesome. I am terrible with names, but a very nice girl sat with me for quite a while to help me find a shoe that I liked, despite me having no idea what i wanted. I also love that this place is very dog friendly, and lets me bring my foster while i try on shoes.

The store has a treadmill for customer to try the shoes before buying them.I am a repeat customer of the store and I have always left satisfied by the customer service and the multiple variety of running shoe brands and styles.

I initially went to pick up my race packet for the Parkway Classic, but ended up buying a pair of stability running shoes that are tailored for my narrow feet. Since the store doesnt really carry narrow shoes, they had to order them in. A huge help! Now I have a pair of quality running shoes that are perfect for me. Staff knows what they are doing and they carry real running shoes. They are not over priced at all but do carry brands that actually make good running shoes. This is one f the only places I buy running shoes.

Really, the staff is kind of put-off. Maybe thats the idea. Im a pretty serious runner but Ive never felt comfortable there and Ive patronized a lot of running stores over the years. I can do as well getting my running shoes online, although I definitely prefer having a local fitting session. Considering that parking is not convenient, and they dont seem to have many sales, I feel I am better off at other local running stores.

I came in as a new runner with leg pain two months ago. Since then, I have gone through four different pairs of running shoes trying to find the right ones. Each time I come in, someone is there to help me find new ones and assure me that there is no reason to feel guilty about returning yet another pair of shoes. Everyone that works there is so kind and helpful - they really do want to help you find a shoe that is best for your feet. I was a problem child case because each shoe presented a different issue during my runs (through no fault of the employees), but the 4th time is a charm! They were patient enough to spend the hour-ish needed each time I came in to find the right one. It really makes a huge difference to have the right shoe and their return policy really makes that achievable. Such a great place and such great staff!

Swift informative experience in well spaced store

I recently visited the Alexandria store and could not find the pair I wanted for my husband for Christmas. They had a similar pair sent over from another store for me. I was to pick them up the day before Christmas Eve and there was a bit of a mixup on when they were supposed to be arriving which kept me waiting for a few minutes. When they realized that it might take a bit longer for them to get there, one of the managers, Ellen, offered me a discount on the shoes. That was amazing, but what was even better was that she offered to bring them to my house after the store closed so I wouldnt have to wait. Once they arrived to the store, she even took a picture of them and texted them to me to make sure they were what I wanted! She delivered them herself to my front door that evening. Very few businesses would go this far for a customer, I am so impressed. Fantastic customer service!
