I have been coming to this Sears Auto Center on and off since 2001. I just got my spark plugs changed making it 20 years I have come there. I have always found it reasonably priced and always got my maintenance done to standard. Its part of the old Landmark Mall, built in the late 1960s, and so the auto center is not fancy by todays standards, but who cares. It has a spacious clean waiting room that is good enough and the staff is helpful. I know Sears is barely hanging on these days, and their store in the mall closed as well, but I hope this Sears Auto Center continues on.

Well before Sears closed down (in my area) I purchased a 3-year battery and It decided to die and I was really concerned because I couldnt find a place to honor the warranty. Well they were very friendly very welcoming and help me through this ordeal and help me get my car back.

Terrible service. I didn’t have a wheel lock for my tire and instead of asking the mechanic they informed me that they couldn’t put my fourth tire on and wouldn’t give me a refund. Told me I could come back and get it on when I can find a wheel lock tool. But I asked him to ask the mechanic and they had the tool so it was wasteful to come out and say all that!!! They spoke down to me because I am a female as well. Did not like the attitude from them. I will never go back here again!!!

Please do not take your vehicle here for ANY reason. The staff is very rude. Which is whatever, but I had 4 perelii tires put on my car. On the way home I could hardly keep my car on the road. Once home I checked the pressure in the tires. All 10 pounds or more to much. Also 3 out of 4 stims were leaking air. I got in the car and took it to the nearest tire and auto shop to me. They confirmed every tire had way to much air in them, and had to replace all the stems. Sears also said my car needed a major alignment. In which it did not, the place i just left checked and said my car did not need alignment. So please take your car somewhere else.

Horrible SERVICE !!Went to Landmark to repair a flat tire, the next day on my way to work the tire blew out on the highway the tire came off the rim.I called sears and was told That is not our problem, you need to figure it outBring the tire so we could fix it again, because your tire might be old.If its old why did you fix it?Call the customer service number or no one calls back. I left several messages over a 3 week period. No return call to dateThank God I didnt crash my car.

I purchased tires from Amazon and had installation paid with the purchase. That meant, I don’t pay anything for installation which didn’t make them happy and they tried to sell me alignment and other stuff that I don’t need. Maybe I am being subjective but it took them three hours to change four tires and I consider it too long. I had a appointment and I was on time, so when I say three hours, it means three hours of work literally... for those who are not familiar, it doesn’t take more than 15-20 minutes to dismount and mount one tire. To include balancing as well. Again, just me but I am not coming back.

I have always used them for alignments and theyre perfect while other shops cant seem to be able to dial in the alignments. Sometimes looking for cheaper cost elsewhere is not worth it.

Not even one star. Thieves and vultures. I had a flat tire. I was told Sears did not carry the tire size I needed. So one tire, Sears rep tried to change the tire size, then instead of one tire; Sears would have to change all after balance, and alignment over 700.00 dollars to change one flat.Never offered to get tire from a local dealer 15 minutes away. Sears Auto Tire at Landmark Mall in Alexandria, VA dont visit.

This’s terrible place to take your car. They only care about the money. I paid 900 dollars to fix my car. They put faulty parts which failed to work just in two days. I took my car back to them and they told me their mechanic couldn’t diagnose the problem and I should take it to the dealer for diagnosis. I did take it to my dealer, paid for the diagnostics only to find out the same parts they replaced were not working. Brought it back and they still couldn’t fix it. It’s been two months guess what my car is still there. I don’t know what to say. Don’t go there.

Its no wonder Sears is going out of business. Bought a used car with a 2 yr guarantee battery with a date of 5/2020. They wouldnt replace the battery without receipt. Who gets a receiot for all the parts when they buy a used car?!Buy elsewhere these guys wont be around to validate your warranty!

Oil change was done incredibly fast. I dropped off the car, girlfriend and I rode off to grab tacos, and they called to say the car was ready before we finished eating!One of the employees, Reuben, was a huge help a few months ago when we needed tires. Cant say enough about how fast and friendly the service is here. Also, they use valvoline oil instead of the no-name bulk oil some other discount shops use.The reminder sticker they put on the corner if the windshield is also a coupon good for $10 off the next oil change, so I will definitely be back.

I purchased two tires from Sears. It was actually my 4th stop of the day at a tire shop. The service was good and quick. There was a little miscommunication to/from the sales clerk and the service associate but we worked it out and all was well. I have to admit, I dont like other people working on my cars but I dont have access to tire changing equipment therefore, I need to bring it somewhere to have it done. This shop person who worked on my car was knowledgeable and experienced. I like that.This is the 3rd time I purchased tires from Sears in my adult life (and the third location too). Im always satisfied with the service from Sears with respect to them new putting new tires on my car. I recommend this location for service to your tires. I further suggest that in order to have a good customer service experience, you need to do your homework on tires before you go to any tire store. An informed customer will more than likely be a happy customer. There are many choices with tires.

Had an appointment for 12 pm, waited in line for 15 minutes more after the appointment time until finally the guy working asked if I had an appointment. I answered yes and still had to wait in line. He was trying to find a code for another customer whom had told him 10 minutes prior to help me. The associate answered him saying no he would find the code. I kindly left.

I was told it would take about 45 min for a standard oil change. I thought it was a bit long but not too bad. It took almost 2 hours with no one saying anything as to why. Most of the technicians were on FB on computers or riding around on pallet jacks. This place is ridiculously unprofessional. I would not recommend them to anyone.

I was leaving town for thanksgiving when I got a nail on one of my tires, I called right before they close and Ruben who answered to my relief said come down and we will take care of you. They stayed well after close to make sure I was on the road. I am so grateful and they definitely earned my future business.

I went in to get a blower motor installed in my Range Rover. The guy at the desk told me that it would cost $69 for them to check it, then for parts and labor it would not be less than $500. I told him that a blower motor is only $34 at AutoZone. Again He told me there was no way he could get one for under $500 and to install it would be even more. So I went to AutoZone to buy the part for $34, then went to Community Car care and they installed it for $93 in less than 45 minutes. You have to be a fool to go to Sears for anything other than appliances. Who trained these people? Why would they charge so much? Stop cheating people out of their hard earned money or train some people who actually know what the hell their talking about. Damn shame.

If I can give less I would have. I always change oil there for our 3 cars in our house. Never asked if I have an appointment. Even though it takes 1 and a half just to do oil change. Today I went there and they told me I need an appointment it is the new rule. I said never heard of it and I was here yesterday. The guy Said you need an appointment because they are busy. I left and I drove by the back and waited good 15 minutes, not even a single car in any bay, they were all empty and everybody was wondering around. Very disappointed. If they dont need a business they need to close. I will never go there anymore.

Im only here for an oil change. I scheduled a week in advance. I have been here for an hour and they still havent even taken my car back yet. And I see employees standing around not doing much. I was the only one in here until about 5 minutes ago. I came here because its really close to where I live. But the conveince of location is not enough for me to keep coming back. Purchased a Groupon and scheduled an appointment. It took 50 min to bring my car back initially and another 40 to do the change. I personally watched the guy perform the change. He several times left the area to get supplies or tools that were, for some reason, not readily available to him, and he moved at an absolutely glacial pace. They also charged me a FEE (not tax) on top of the Groupon. For comparisons sake, Valvoline Instant Oil Change is a couple blocks away, will cost you $10-15 more with their always available coupons, and will be 10 minutes in and out without you leaving the car versus this 90 minute outing.

Waitress more than five hours and only made problem worse. Just needed them to check and rotate tire. Told me that they were doing a diagnostic on the tire and didnt tell me anything of it. Not very professional and a complete waste of time. Tried to make me feel better by not charging me with rotation but it is port of insurance for tires. Cumbersome, confusing, and lacking. Sears you will go out of business with this by your side.

Order a set of tires to be installed from the web site. Got a tracking number showing delivery of tires to the store. Go to the store during set appointment and was told that tires were not there even though tracking shows as being signed for. Asked who the person was that signed for them and it was the manager. So they reorder the tires and I had to put it off for a week to get them installed. Flash forward one week and Im back trying to figure out why one of the tires is loosing air. I went to another place to make sure it didnt have a nail or something. Nope. So it looks like either the tire is bad or did a bad job with the install. Im going with a bad install. Oh and its going to take a few hours for one tire. This place sucks.

Traditional auto shop/store. You will get the basics here, dont expect fancy waiting room or wifi or a keurig machine. I have purchased tires, batteries and had my brakes done here in past. Mechanics are honest though and the retail managers are pretty easy going with no pressure sales tactics and straight shooters. Ive actually had discounts applied when I thought price was wrong. And dont forget that sears does price-match and they have military/vet discounts.

Oil change took 2 hours. I made an appointment for for 5, and it took them 2 hours to finish a simple oil change. Horrible customer service, guy at the front desk doesnt talk just gestures using his hands like I understand what hes saying. Waiting room had no heat, froze to death. I got a groupon deal for the oil change, but they made me pay $5 extra because it costs that much to dispose of the oil, and the groupon which promises an entire oil change paid for, doesnt count towards. Worst ever.

Alright, if the other reviews have not prepared you then be warned. I moved to the area from the midwest and in the midwest Sears Automotive is a reputable business. I would associate Sears with quality and this lead me to business at this location. I bought a 6 month alignment warranty to ensure my car was to spec after I replaced an entire front end suspension. Keep in mind I made appointments ahead of time. The first time it took almost three hours to complete the alignment. I drove away and after a short drive saw immediately that the car drifted to one direction. I scheduled a new appointment on another day and they took about two and a half hours to tell me that they could not do the alignment because my inner tie rod was loose. They wanted another $300 to simply tighten an inner tie rod. I refused, signed a waiver, and left. After borrowing tools loaner tools for free I checked the entire suspension again and found nothing loose. I pulled both inner tie rods and liberally applied more thread locker and reinstalled them to torque and spec again just to ensure no more nonsense the next time I try to get my car aligned. I then scheduled a third appointment for alignment in two weeks. At this point I really am left to feel scheduling doesnt do anything as my vehicle isnt serviced at the designated time the last three times. This time, after another 3 hour wait, my vehicle is done and seems as close to aligned as I believe they are capable of making it.The location is in a bit of a run down area and they only place to really visit on foot is a Sears that shows signs of shrinking inventory and downsizing in general. I did not stay around the Autocenter to witness the terrible interactions seen by so many but I would put money on the Autocenter being one of the major sources of income for the flailing Sears location. If the general or regional manager was worth anything they would investigate and make drastic changes to the Autocenter.. however as it seems more like they have very little left to lose besides actually closing down entirely they seem to keep jugging ahead with this negligent attitude that will most likely lead to a lawsuit that will be the final nail in the coffin for this location.TLDR: From the midwest perspective, Sears was respected and I have been a long time customer in Automotive, tools, and lawn care (tractors, etc) and this location is a complete joke. Go elsewhere, if anything, to ensure the poor souls who still go here might be able to receive service within a reasonable amount of time.

I finally got to talk to the guy and he printed up my report, i started asking him a question and his cell phone rang! Worst experience ever 👎🏼 NOT RECOMMENDED PLACE TO DO CAR SERVICE at, AT ALLI scheduled an appointment for oil change online. Went there 20 mins before my scheduled timing, yet Waited for almost half an hour standing Infront of unprofessional sales representatives at all. The guy named Roben was so rude, and has no experience in car service at all. He gave me an estimate of $5 more than what I booked online. And when I asked he said its for the filter and oil change CANT BE DONE WITHOUT REPLACING THE FILTER which is no sense at all!Moreover; when I asked how long does it need, he replied 2 hrs or even more...Eventually I cancelled, left the place and would never go there again.

0 stars. Stay FAR away from this place. Its like pulling teeth to get the alignment techs to do their job right the first time this was the 3rd time back. He didnt even use a torque wrench the first 2 times he just guessed and Also he left grease stains on my seats that never came out. Today I went in to fix my alignment a 3rd time after I had paid for a 1year service 6 months ago and I was challenged the whole way and he literally mad dogged me like we were about to throw down when he saw me back after 6 months. I hope he reads this or his manager reads this. I refused to let him touch my truck again and stormed out without my alignment fixed. I PAID FOR A SERVICE AND WARRANTY DO YOUR JOB. Absolutely worst expierence Ive ever had these guys dont care about your car or safety completely lazy employees. I feel I was discriminated against being military Ill be writing to the owner. Stay away from Ruben!!! He will overcharge you and his customer service is beyond atrocious. He will deliberately have the mechanics not complete the service in order to get more money out of the customer.Wazi (not sure about spelling) is awesome 5 stars for wazi! He will get you an excellent price for good work and has exceptional customer service.*PSAs a person always willing to give a second chance I called the manager at the number mentioned below 3 times and got transferred to multiple fax number tones twice, and the last time transferred to another automated system which sent me to a customer service center some place far from here. The woman on the other line couldn’t understand how I reached her, so she transferred me back to the first automated system.Smh

BEWARE! I went in for a noise the car was making. I already knew what it was but I told them I didnt. When they came back with their diagnostic and quote, it was all wrong. The noise was from the cooling fan and they said it was my brakes. That the brakes were all bad and in need of replacement. The car barely has 20k miles. I left and took the car to another dealership. They changed the cooling fan and it was free because it was covered in the warranty.
