There are a couple employees that truly seem to care about the customers. Theres a few who are cold and heartless, awful customer service. I bought a wheel chair for my mom who was coming home in a few days, when I picked her up to come home the facility that she was staying at provided a wheel chair for her. I went to return the completely unused wheel Chair to A&R Medical and they refused to take it back. They said they had a 3 day return policy, (this was 4 days). I explained the situation to them and also that the wheel chair was unused, they said theres no way that they can trust that to be true. 3 or four employees said things to the effect that this is their policy and thats that.I will not shop here again and I let them know that. That news had no visible effect on any of them. Im not sure when rudeness became the rule of the day but A&R medical has embraced rudeness as their system for dealing with customers.

Customer service is non-existent. No compassion or understanding. Profits are all important - way above anything else. Return policies are completely unreasonable, so buyer beware!! This place is unfortunately the only realistic local option for a walker, but I found one I liked better online for a bit under the A&R price (including shipping). Glad I didn’t need it immediately, but I would have been willing to pay for expedited shipping on the online option to avoid having to give my money to these people who put policy and profit ahead of others. On the positive side, they did have product in stock and the sales person was knowledgeable and nice. Too bad she was overridden by the corporate greed of the business model.

I have used A & R Medical for most of my elderly father’s medical supply needs. We purchased his scooter, ramps and other equipment from them. I went in today to order a replacement scooter seat & basket from them. While there, Marlene assisted me in ordering those items for him. She called the manufacturer to ensure they were available while I waited. She then subsequently showed me a bed rail and transfer bar as well as a transfer bar with a swivel tray to assist him in and out of his recliner. Marlene was indispensable. She even assisted me with carrying out the products that didn’t require ordering. I highly recommend this local business!

I have bought my oxygen tanks and various other medical items through A&R medical for 20+ years. Their store is well stocked and their sales people are very helpful. Customer care is quick and efficient. This is a nice company to deal with.

Really bad service, lady infront with no mask, also bought a spirometer with no breathing tube, called and told me there’s nothing they can do about it “they wouldn’t sell unsealed items with missing items” well I’m pretty smart and I knew what I opend and there was no breathing tube. Rude customer service manager. Never coming back to this place again. Waste of 10 dollars trash

We were greeted by Marlene. My son and I were looking for a lifting chair for my husband who had been injured in a fall. She was most helpful demonstrating the chair we were interested in. She was not pushy and showed concerns for my husband’s needs. We bought the chair then and there, brought it home and my husband was most pleased. Starting in 2009, this company has been up,and down. The supplies would come in the mail as they were suppose too. Sometimes the tubing and/or mask would be the wrong one and I would have to take it to the store for a replacement.In 2019, the company decided to stop sending supplies in the mail so I had to drive down and pick them up. Sometimes they would be in the store, sometimes I would have to drive to the ABQ office on Lomas.Late last year, to get new suoplies, I needed to,make an appointment in ABQ for a mask fitting. I find out a few months later, my preauth had expired before the appointment and I needed to pay out of pocket for the 1st time ever. The billing gave me a deal and told me I only needed to pay half. What a disaster. Shouldnt they tell me beforehand a preauth expired?This week, they call me and say they needed to come by and pick up my concentrator and mask stuff (after 12 + years) because they cant find the original order from my sleep study in 2009. If I cant find it (the doctors office is closed) then they want to charge $75 a month .Stay away from this company. They also like to show up every 6 months unannounced and check your concentrator without even calling first to setup an appointment.If I have to get a new sleep study, it certainly wont be with this company as my DME provider. Stay away from this place.

I went in to A&R medical supply to purchase a spirometer for my father, when I walked in I was greeted by this really nice woman named Marlene she helped me find what I needed and also helped me find out about a wheelchair cushion. She was very professional and really sweet! I will definitely be back and l highly recommend this store,very nice people. Thank you Marlene for being so sweet and helpful!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We were in town for an emergency for our dog. She was having problems with the elevation so we had taken her to an ER Vet. They recommended she stay on oxygen until we got down to lower altitude. So out we went looking for an oxygen tank. We called and spoke with Geneva who was so kind and understanding. She told us exactly what we needed and had it in stock. When we arrived, Geneva showed my husband how to properly use the tank and how to store and handle it. She was awesome! We dont live in the area, but if we did, we would go back here.

The thing that bothers me most about this place is the lack of caring and compassion exhibited by the staff. They obviously dont like working there (their attitudes scream YOU BORE ME). There are hundreds of people in Albuquerque who would be thrilled to have a job like this. I suggest the person who runs this place hire people who like working and who can treat customers like they are humans and not traffic cones--I guarantee a change like that would bring in more revenue. Think of all the unhappy people who leave A&R and tell their friends and family what a miserable experience it was--those people turn around and go to HME or other competitors. Think about it. The way you treat people matters.After I posted this, I received the below reply. Obviously they don’t take customer service seriously—if they did, they’d have more than 2.1 stars and far fewer negative reviews. I also find it interesting that I was directed to contact the INTERNET relations manager with my customer service complaints. Even with such starkly and consistently substandard customer service, they don’t have a dedicated customer relations manager. Someone needs to go back to business school...

Horrible experience! The workers were rude! And definitely didnt care. I was told I was waiting for doctor notes in order to be approved for a knee scooter. They were sent multiple times but when I called A&R they told me they never got them. Paid the money ($90) to rent the scooter that was basically falling apart! Everything was loose and seemed like it was gonna fall apart. On top of that their prices are very high!

Ive been waiting 2 weeks because my doctor never gave me a splint as he said then I get prescribed to H&R and the dude said Ill call you by today or tomorrow that was Thursday Ive been waiting a whole week so 3 weeks now and no one has helped me recover my foot Ive been taking care of it while these employees sit around behind that desk.

What an awful company. My insurance makes me deal with them for cpap supplies. I finally decided to just buy all my stuff online outside insurance. Cheaper that way anyway and less headaches. Today a part of a frame that holds my mask in place broke, Amazon has the part for $35 but it takes 3 weeks to deliver and I dont want to go that long without the machine. So I called these guys hoping they could get something sooner. Talking to them reminded me of how awful they are.She told me they dont carry this common part and my only option is to replace the entire $3,000 machine. Told me not to worry since my insurance would cover most of it and Id only have to pay a couple hundred dollars for my copay. Gee, great. I get to pay you a couple hundred dollars for a $35 part and you get to scam my insurance company on top of it. Why do insurance companies insist we deal with these awful companies.

I agree with the previous reviews that this is an “awful” business. I purchased adult forearm crutches for my wife who broke her leg at a cost of $104.58. The crutches could not be used because they were medically inappropriate for the injury sustained. I returned the crutches 10 hours later for a refund. This company refused to return my money even though the crutches were unused. The supervisor explained that anything leaving the store is not refundable due to COVID-19. She indicated the receipt was clearly stamped “No refunds-No exchanges”. When I pointed out the stamp could not be read, this made no difference. Incidentally the receipt said nothing about COVID. The advertising pamphlet disbursed by this company specifically represents returns must be made within 3 days of purchase. The supervisor was indifferent and unsympathetic. She suggested that my insurance should cover the cost even though the crutches would never be used by anyone. I indicated to the supervisor that they just lost my business but it made no difference. . In my opinion this business is all about the money. Beware ! An awful business indeed.By the way, there such an emphasis about COVID-19 being the reason for no refunding that the clerk and supervisor who I spoke with were not wearing masks ! Go figure.

Was going to switch to them for my sons supplies. I dont know her name, she answered with hello so I wasnt even sure I called the right place. I told her a little about what was going on and also told her I didnt remember who Id spoken to. She didnt even let me finish telling her the situation before she interrupted me to ask if I remembered who I spoke to. She then interrupted me again to ask her coworker if she had helped me. She told me that wasnt the way things were done. I said can I finish telling you what is going on. She got louder and said you can tell me whats going on, but I said never mind Im not switching to you guys and hung up. Its unfortunate that I had this experience over the phone because when we went into the store and called the first time, it was not bad customer service. I gave a 2 because of past experiences, but today completely deterred me from being their customer.

I was traveling & my CPAP mask broke. I called several different places before yours & they would not let me pay cash, without a Rx. I did not have a way of getting one at the time. PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THIS STORE!!!! When I came in for my grandmother medical supply no one helped me. I kept asking for assistance and I kept being passed by. Until a older lady came and was very rude off the start. They said they could help me because the insurance didnt place the order, and when I followed up with my insurance they said the order was placed that same day. I asked to talk to the manager, and she (Cristina Baros) came out said, we cant help you with a very rude tone and walked away. The manager couldnt get on the system and double check!! Again PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE!!! They are very rude, unprofessional, disorganized, and are not willing to help you!!

I have been ripped off for $144 and I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Albuquerque.In May of this year I went to A&R medical supply and made a special order for two pair of Jobst support hose because the style and color I needed was not in stock. I was told I needed to pay in advance. No problem. I paid with a credit card. Long story short: after several phone calls and a trip back to the location on Lomas WITH MY RECEIPT, I was told that wasn’t enough and that the receipt I was given didn’t show the item(s) were a special order. “Sorry,” they said. “We can’t help you.”I wish I could score 0/5. 1/5 score is too generous — but that is the lowest this system will allow.I have a big mess on my hands now as I try to get my money back or my purchase.Don’t do business with these people. They don’t seem to care at all about their customers. And I am stating this in the most polite way that I can. If I were to state how I really feel, my review probably would not be allowed because it would contain too many swear words.I wish I had read the other reviews first before I ever set foot in that place.

I made an order from A&R back in March for a couple of wheelchair cushion cover.(Mine are SHOT) After a couple months with nothing showing up I called them. Then 4 months go by and I request a REFUND. They told me no Problem. 6 months I called again because no products and no refund. I was told Yup no problem theyd give me my money back. 9 Months later no refund, no products. TERRIBLE COMPANY

This review is for the Sleep Aid side. Is there a - star? This place is the reason there should be. ABSOLUTE worst service. It must be a job prerequisite to work at A&R to be comfortable to treat customers with zero respect and really dont care to help with any issues. I do have to say there was 2 ladies who are really helpful. They work in the back with new fittings; at least thats when they helped me. I wish I got their names. Now the receptionist is a different story. Shop around for a company who will appreciate you after the sale. Your not going to get that at A&R. The only reason they got the 1 star was because I couldnt put a 0.

Can I give ZERO stars? As a small business owner I recognize the value of good customer service. The lack of it is a reflection on the management/ownership. This is the worlds worst place to buy medical supplies and I will drive miles away from it to shop. Walked in a couple of times, thought the first was just a bad day with cranky, inattentive workers. The second time I went in was even worse. Apparently a party was going on because people kept walking out with cake in their hands. Four people sitting at desks, eating chocolate cake. One counter person, four people in line. They answer phones before dealing with people at the counter - not just answer and hold but conducted business. Had to call recently to check about an RX, was told Id get a call back. A week later I called again, had to leave a message - still waiting.

Really poor customer service.Not organized, lake of communication knowledge ,My insurance company called them and setup everything for me to go and get my supplies, but when I went there they told me that they are missing approval from my insurance company,I called my insurance company and they says that they sent all the paperwork!when I call A+R they just says they will call me back when they get my insurance approval, but never called me.This cycle repeated several times but still not succeed to get my medical supplies from this supplier.I don’t recommend this places unless you don’t have any other choice,This place would be my last choice.

If I could give them zero stars, I would. Good luck getting in touch with anyone there as I have tried several times over the past 3-4 months. No one will return phone calls nor acknowledge that they have received paperwork faxed by myself and my physician. If you need any medical supplies, I strongly recommend you look elsewhere.

The experience I had was very positive. Coming with a prescription for pressure socks and completely ignorant of the subject, I was a little anxious. Lucero, one of the staff, noticed my obvious confusion and immediately provided me with information that both made me feel comfortable and provided just what I needed to make appropriate selections from the extensive choices available. I’m a sleep apnea patient and I’m at a loss of where to go because they are still the “best” in town, but that’s because the other options are criminal in the way they treat patients.When can we get away from “For Profit” health care? I could only give 1 star if the had a negative plus thats what I would give. This company is a joke so unprofessional. I placed a online order and never received the order getting a refund has been the worst experience. I asked if I could pick up the item they didnt have in stock .I kept getting run around order was place April 10,2018. As of today May 4,2018 no item nor a refund as of yet when you call you get answers like. I watched the mailman carry it out the door, so can I get a tracking number ? Answer were getting ready to close I will call you tomorrow no call yet so after 2 weeks of excuses I ask for management and the girl on the other end of the call laughed. Before I got hung up on call back got transferred 4 times before I got to speak to a so called management who did not resolved my issue and who didnt know how to give a refund her answer was let me call you back we have several ways of refunding and I need to research . I still have not received a call back. And now when I call everyone is in a meeting. So I gave up and filed a dispute with pay pal, and better business bureau . I beg everyone else if its life or death equipment that you need please please please dont deal with this company. Im just trying to get a plastic bucket. And Im already ready to scream

Ive often wondered how a company such as this can continue to operate. They are in the wrong business: customer service -ZERO, return phone calls - ZERO, knowledge of medical necessity- ZERO, assist the disabled -ZERO!!! We have been waiting for over 2 months for a battery to be delivered, how hff ard is that. Before that, we waited over 6 months, YES YOU READ THAT CORRECTLY, 6 MONTHS FOR A SCREW. Unfortunately we depend on Medicare to approve these companies and they apparently dont have the money, the staff, or the knowledge to do the investigating before the contracts are issued to vendors.

Great customer service. This company is very busy but yet find the time to help each and every one of their customers. Each and every rep go the extra mile and Susana the Manager for CSRs is very helpful. I highly recommend to everyone. Another good thing is if they are not in network with your insurance they are willing to offer a proper discount to get the equipment needed.

So I show up to return some equipment. Im coming from work at 5:00, racing through traffic to get there before 5:30, which is their closing time. I arrive at 5:25 (I checked my phone) and the door is locked. Really people? All I needed to do was hand them the machine and leave. I start to walk away and notice a woman running from the back of the business to unlock the door. No apology for closing early. Folks, if you close at 5:30, then it must be 5:30 before you close. Not acceptable. By the way, the 4- and 5-star reviews dont fool anyone. The service is pretty bad.

I am in need of a repair to my oxygen concentrator because I am on oxygen 24/7 and they told me to wait a week before they can come out. She asked me 4 times if someone could come in to their office. I kept telling her no. They are completely rude every time I call.

I have worked in the medical field for 45 years and this has got to be the worst place to do business with. I was present when my wifes PCP wrote the orders for her medical supply items and A&R kept trying to either give us the incorrect items or started arguing with me that I was wrong. The person I dealt with was Cristina. After trying to reach the owner, Calvin he would not take my phone call. I have reported A&R to my PCP and my medical insurance carrier. All insurance carriers should end their contracts with A&R immediately!!!!!

Stay away from this place!! They take advantage of uninsured people. I bought a cpap mask and Sarah G convinced me that the mask I paid $110 was the best one. When I got home and tried it on it was flimsy and didn’t fit. I went off of her assurance that it was the best one. When I went to exchange it she said there were no exchanges. I went to A&R on a last minute need to see if I could locate several items for my 95 year old father. I walked in the door and they had every item in stock. At checkout the young lady was very pleasant and even gave me a 10% discound on what was a sizable bill. She also said if any of the items did not work out that they had a 3 day return policy which was perfect as I was not totally sure the items would be right.Very nice people to deal with, very good with stocked items that I thought I would have to order and did not.

I had an extremely pleasant experience with A and R Medical Supply. My associate Raedell was patient and kind and carefully walked me through my options as I ordered hospital bed for my mother in law. I came in later to pick up a wheel chair and found her again very helpful and polite. Given my situation, this could have been a stressful event but instead it was smooth and easy. The delivery man Fernando, was also pleasant and easy to work with. We will continue to work with them as the need arises.

Wish I had read these reviews before accepting A & R from my husbands doctor.We have been trying to get my husbands power wheelchair since August of 2018. Its always some excuse dealing with paperwork, etc. There is no follow up between A & R and the doctors office. They always blame the doctors office.I call and leave messages but get no return call back. Now they are ignoring my calls altogether. Finally got a person on the line today, all I wanted was an update, and they hung up on me.I was not being ugly or abusive, I just wanted answers.Not sure now what steps to take next.I am my husbands caregiver for 20 years and now I am dealing with aggressive ovarian cancer and just want to be sure my husband can get around our home safely when Im not home.

I have had a mix of experience win A&R. I started using them because HME is just too horrible. Initially, all was great. The past 6-months has been steady decline except their the woman who handles customer accounts. She really went out of her way to resolve an insurance issue. The women in the c-pap area may have been friendly and helpful to men. With me they were all but hostile, offering no assistance. Due to a medical condition and I am required to wear compression stockings. In brief, they sent me home with 2-pair of an entirely wrong compression strength. Upon returning to the store the supervisor and the formally friendly Misty were just insistent I asked for a higher compression. Whether from a bad memory or trying to save her job she invited the mistake was mine. I prefer to patronize local businesses. This last experience with a better than thou customer service supervisor has me reconsidering. I have worked with the public all my life. I would have been fired on the spot for ever speaking to a customer in such a manner. So, good luck. Depends in which side of the bed they got out of that morning.

Terrible customer service. We have called for my grandmas oxygen delivery for 2 weeks. They told us it would be delivered, still hasn’t showed up. When my mom called to ask where it was they said there was no order and that we would have to wait another week! Despite what they told us Friday. Didn’t try to help, didn’t try to make it right, didn’t care that she wouldn’t have oxygen to leave the house for a week. No care in the world. If you don’t care about people or their health and safety then maybe you should be in a different field.

Gave 1 star because 0 isnt an option. Aug 2 in fell on the sidewalk landing on my left knee. ER showed nothing but the swelling & pain were bad. My Dr ordered cructchs, a walker and a knee immobilizer 3 weeks later & sadly my insurance is only through A & R. I called a couple days later to see if they were ready I was told not to call they would call me when the equipment was ready that they filled them as they received them. They were extremely rude on the phone to me. Thank God I had an old pair of cructchs, a knee brace & a walker from my surgery in 2016. Aug 26th an MRI showed my kneecap was shattered. Ordered to stay off my leg until I was seen by an orthopedic Dr. My appt with NM Orthopedics was Sept 9th & I was fitted with new crutches that fit me and a knee immbolizer. 4 weeks later I began to walk again. I was lucky I had old equipment or I would have ended up in surgery. I never got a call back from this place. Not until last week on Oct 28th they called to see if I was still going to pick them up! Are you kidding me! 10 weeks later I get a call!?!? No no I dont need them now I needed then when my Dr sent in the orders! Unbelievable. Put my health at risk!!! Yes my Dr knows as does my insurance. Whom is looking into them for fraud as I write this. I dont play, my health is #1 to me. God help those who dont have old equipment and actually have to rely on piss poor service from this place. It shouldnt be Im business!!

My husband is on oxygen 24/7 and when we went in to get one of his portable tanks refilled, we were rudely told by Darlene it takes 24 to 48 hrs. We also were getting a prescription filled for a nebulizer and she also RUDELY said they won’t fill it because they needed doctors notes. I have never had to produce dr’s notes for a prescription.

Terrible service - don’t waste your time. My insurance company told me my equipment would come at no cost. This company tried to say I owed them $300+ and then never called me back after I placed numerous phone calls and was out on hold each time. I ended up using HME and they were excellent.

Was waiting for delivery for Oxygen all day, as they had stated it had to be delivered on a certain day. Entire day and no delivery. When I called at 4, they said their driver was probably backed up but they did have the order... call at 5 oh Everyones gone home. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PLACE IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!Edit: Already switched to HME and they are much better, and do next day delivery of items, instead of having to wait up to a week for your supplies.

Purchased a nebulizer for my son through my pediatrician. Had to call 6 times for them to accurately process the insurance. No one seemed to know what was going on. They didnt call back and were unprofessional on the phone. I understand that insurance is complicated, but it shouldnt take four months to figure it out.

Wow, they have horrible customer service!! I got a call from a lady who left a voicemail saying to call her back to confirm delivery of the oxygen. I called back LESS THAN A MINUTE later, and whoever answered the phone had NO idea what I was talking about. She said that the patient I was calling about had no order. I explained that she does have an order and that I just received the phone call to confirm delivery. She was acting like I was lying. She was very rude and short tempered. After not knowing what I was calling about even though I explained it thoroughly she said well, I just dont know. She didnt even TRY to help me. Well, thanks for nothing! A & R Medical Supply really needs to re-examine their customer service. I will never order from them again or refer them to anyone.

The only reason I gave them one star is that there is nothing less available. I have attempted to do business with them, without success. I live out of town so I called. On one occasion I was on hold for over 20 minutes. Apparently, after about 10 minutes it times out and reconnects with the operator and starts the cycle over again, only this time you start out at the end of the line again. I would only use this comoany as a last resort.

Just called this place to see if they had the machine we need. Immediately asked if we were out of pocket, and when I said yes, she told me the machine we need was 1800 bucks. To clarify, that machine should cost 880. Thats a thousand dollar markup for people paying out of pocket, and they werent even nice about it.This is so unethical. Ill buy it online.

Ive been trying to get my Rx for a simple nebulizer machine filled for 6 weeks now because either my Rx doesnt contain the correct information or they never received a fax from my PCP, even though I sat there and watched her fax it to them. They also failed to mention to me that a clinical note from your PCP is required to have said Rx filled until I actually got to the place to pick it up (they couldve mentioned this to me on the phone BEFORE I went to have my Rx filled). So once again, Im stuck without my nebulizer. You couldnt pay me to recommend this place to someone. This place is terrible.

BEWARE. - EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE I would give this place zero stars if that were possible.A little over a year ago I took A&R my business because they were a local company. Besides the normal oxygen cylinders and concentrator, I needed a special breathing machine called a Vpap. I worked with my doctor, A&R and my insurance plan in attempt to get the machine. A&R provided little to no assistance in obtaining the machine. The machine was repeatedly denied. Giving A&R the benefit of the doubt, I began the new process of getting a new sleep study etc. in an attempt to get the Vpap. During this process I learned that A&R had been submitting my insurance claims wrong FOR A SOLID YEAR! Therefore, my insurance wasnt paying them for the rental oxygen tanks and concentrator. The claims were wrong for various reasons. The top 3 reasons were: transposing my first and last name, had me as a male and they misspelled my name. The insurance company further explained that they could not take corrections for claims greater than six months old. Therefore, they would only consider paying the A&R claims that were filed in the last 6 months.This issue became glaringly apparent when I received an invoice for the rental equipment. Believing the invoice was part of my 2019 deductible, I called to pay the invoice. I was told that the invoice represented the AMOUNT IN COLLECTION. (WHAT???). This was beyond frustrating because I had not received any invoices or notices. The invoice I did finally received had NOTHING MARKED AS PAST DUE AND FAILED TO SHOW ANY AMOUNT IN ARREARS. I had no idea there were issues with my insurer paying claims. Eventually, A&R agreed to resubmit the valid claims.Meanwhile my Vpap was approved, so I went to A&R to pick it up. I was told that I couldn’t have the machine until I paid the amount on my account that was in COLLECTIONS! I asked to speak to Marlene (the billing manager), who then literally stomped over. I explained my circumstances again and asked that I not be turned over to collections since misfiled claims led to this issue. I also explained that I wanted to see the results of the resubmitted claims before I made any payments. Marlene was completely unempathetic. She said, “I guess we’ll just have to turn you over to collections, then” and stormed out of the room. I left without my Vpap.Reaching anyone with the ability to solve issues is virtually impossible. Voicemail boxes for Marlene (Billing Manager) and Howard Anaya (General Manager) are full, so you cannot leave messages at their extensions. Any other department fails to answer the phone and the call never goes to Voicemail. I’ve had to ask someone in customer service to give the various departments and managers handwritten notes in an attempt to reach them. This business is supposed to be experts in providing special equipment to sick and vulnerable people. I am one who had to spend countless hours on the phone chasing down the answers, talking on the phone and worrying. TRUST ME…GO ANYWHERE ELSE

If you have another choice, choose a different medical supply company. Customer service is terrible. I called several times over a 2 week period and was placed on hold for at least 20 minutes each time. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told they were in a 4 hour manager meeting. I asked for a call back from a manager and of course I didnt receive it. Scheduled medical supplies to be picked up after my dad passed away and was not put on the schedule. Completely unacceptable.

While traveling to Monument Valley I discovered I left my CPAP mask back in Houston. After reading the earlier reviews, I was somewhat concerned about what my experience would be here. Esperanza in the CPAP part of the store was super pleasant and immediately found what I needed. The ladies at the front desk were pleasant also. Im really not sure about the other reviewers here, but I could not have been more pleased with the help Esperanza provided.

When i made the appointment was told they had everything they needed and i get there and it turns out they didnt Spent an hour trying to get them what they supposedly needed. No stars actually! Bought power lift chair from A+R in December of 2014. I paid in full as no benefit was provided by Medicare. Salesperson Misty, told me that A+R would take care of the necessary paperwork with my private medical insurer, entitling me to a partial refund on the cost of the chair.A+R sent incorrect forms to medical insurer. Medical insurer then contacted A+R and informed them of the correct forms to provide them. Although they claimed otherwise, A+R in fact never sent the proper forms.Found out today from the medical insurer that A+Rs delays have resulted in the statute of limitations for patient reimbursement to expire. Medical Insurer has the record of all their communications with A+R.Billing section of A+R quite rude, defensive and uncooperative.

I live 45 minuets away so I called to verify that they had what I needed and took my insurance. Both were yes answers. I get a ride there and was not helped for at least 15 minutes. I even asked if I was in the right place to be helped since all the workers were ignoring me. As soon as the lady calls me up she says they do not accept my insurance. Waste of time, rude, and they give out false information. Store didnt look very clean either.

I went in and was told I had to go into the Rio Rancho location because the address on my ID was in Rio Rancho. But I just moved to that side of town and didn’t have the expenses to drive to Rio. So I waited a week until I had expenses. I decided to call Rio Rancho before to make sure they had the items I needed. I was told I could’ve got the items from the Lomas location. I was furious and hurting because I didn’t have the items I needed to help me! I called the Lomas location and was told I could’ve got the items from there!!! Now that I’m thinking of it I should file a lawsuit against this place.

Should have listen to the reviews. Before having my prescription faxed to them I made sure they had the supplies I needed and that they accepted Medicare. I was told that they did. After they received the order I received a call saying they didnt take Medicare from Michigan. Medicare is a federal program not a state program. Waste of time.

Horrible customer service! They could care less if your need is urgent or not. They give you no notice on delivering supplies and will not bother with corrections saying you can come into the store (no matter that it is very difficult for you or not). No empathy!!! Phone calls are to a wasteland. Employees in the store pretend like they dont see you.Management is even worse!

I called to follow up, sat on hold 15 minutes, was then transferred twice, only to get voicemail. Run (if you can) as far away from this place as possible. How they stay in business is a mystery. They are positively the worst company I have ever dealt with in Albuquerque.

This is the worst DME company I have ever has to work with. I work for a home hospice company- i strongly feel they do not care about the patients needs. Toward the end-of-life for many of my patients, they have not been supportive. They slack on delivering DME for patients who are declining.In fact, they dont even have the decency to confirm they are receiving the orders placed for patients. The goal of hospice is COMFORT and i do not believe A&R gives a damn about this very sensitive and personal need. In addition, their customer services reps are awful. At one point, i had to make a call for an elderly patient of mine who was unable to communicate her needs to their reps. When i made the call, not only was the rep laughing and having a personal conversation in the background, but when i actually told her she was unprofessional and i wanted to speak to her manager, she hung up on me. This saddened me because i got to hear first hand what many of my patients deal with, unfortunately. I would never recommend this company. If i ever went to a home and saw this DME- even if it was not my patient- i would assist them in DME swap out asap.

This review is for the people in the oxygen department. I have had excellent service from the CPAP people. Is there any way to give 0 stars? Then again that is MORE than these people deserve. I had surgery on July 14th and came home from the hospital on July 24th. I needed oxygen for only a couple of weeks until I could use my CPAP machine again. When I arrived home from the hospital the concentrator was sittinq ppl meg in my living room but was not set up and did not even have a tube attached to it. Luckily the driver from HME Specialist was here delivering some DME and he offered to set the unit up for me and did.I used the concentrator for two weeks and was released to start using my CPAP machine so I called and asked some employee at A&R named JR. to have someone come pick the unit up. He said someone would be by on Friday, 8/10 to pick it up. Nobody showed up. I called again the next week and was told someone would be by on 8/17 and again, nobody showed. This happened another time or two so I finally called my insurance carrier and filed a complaint. I have since filed insurance fraud against this company and to this day, 9/13 nobody has come to pick up the equipment. Please, for your sake, do not use this company unless you need CPAP service. They are a fraud and will only cost you or your insurance company money.

Do not use A&R medical supply. I highly recommend to take your business else where. A&R is very unethical and unprofessional. Patients please check your insurance coverage before dealing with them. They will lie and try to have you pay out of pocket for certain expenses to make more money. Example, rollator insurances cover these especially Medicare, as a previous employee they implied a new rule beginning of February which is to bill Medicare for the rollator and up-charge the patient and have them pay $140 out of pocket the only walker they will give you for Medicare is a standard if you want a rollator they up charge you. Don’t let them fool you. By the way they sell rollators out of pocket for $120. Ridiculous trying to make money off patients that most likely have a fixed income is disgusting. Hope it’s changed in the last month. They will lie and say your insurance doesn’t cover items because they don’t get paid as much so please call your insurance prior to believing their lies. I expressed how unethical I thought this was. I highly recommend using HME specialists or Major Medical first before dealing with A&R.

These people have had my wifes electric scooter since the 1st of June and charged $25.00 just for a diagnosis with parts and labor at additional cost to which I agreed. Then they said it needs a speed control knob at $64.00 and required half down. Then it would take 5 to 7 business days for them to receive it.ok. I called last Friday the 15th and was told it still didnt work and the tech said that its a problem in the harness and the tech would call me back thats when I informed her that we are waiting to leave on vacation and she assured me again that he would call me. He did not call. Once again today the 18th of the month and when I asked for the service department this rude person named Marie in an extremely rude and unprofessional tone of voice asked For What? Then she told me the tech tried calling me. When I informed her that it was the other way around, that I called them she then said the tech was on another call and she would have him call me when he gets back. What astoundingly bad unprofessional behavior and customer service .

I wish I could give zero stars! We ordered a wheelchair and it took a year to get it. The doctor’s office had to send information multiple times and they denied ever receiving it. We called so many times and they said they would get back with us and then would never call back. It was a nightmare and now that more equipment is needed, we can’t bear the thought of ever using them again.

I was sent the wrong CPAP tubing and mask in March 2018. I called and they said to return package to sender, I did. Payed my bill, never received my stuff. After calling numerous times over the last several months and being told theyre going to send out my items, Im now being told there is no longer a record of my calls or this issue. Customer service is not in their represatives vocabulary however rude definitely is top of the service they provide. Have purchased supplies from them through the last few years. Service seems to keep goung down hill. Will never do business with them again.
