This ace does not accept normal forms of payment. comepletely absurd. could’ve at least offered me a discount since i had to go to an atm—they don’t accept anything except chipped cards and cash. i won’t ever go back.

I love ACE Hardware. It is a small store but the customer service is top notch. Whenever I go to Lowe’s or Home Depot I feel like I am in my own. I always have to flag down a worker that doesn’t seem excited to help me. At ACE they always greet me when I walk in and several people ask me if I need help. They also have a nice selection of tools and such.

They are very knowledgeable and a good variety on parts.And to top it off, good price and friendly.

Always a fun place to visit. The STIHL department is well stocked and most importantly they know their product. Cant say enough about Brent their STIHL guy. He was great with helping me find STIHL parts I need for my business. Really knows his stuff. They take the time to engage with you and thats what we need more of these days. A+ place

Got charged for a pick up order I did not receive when I went to pick it up (the original online order was split into two suborders, but they only brought out one of them to me). I later saw I was charged for both suborders on my credit card. I couldnt get help through website (the help form on the website kept hanging up) or with their help number. I called three times, got disconnected from first two people (I dont think it was a poor connection on my end), and the third person I spoke to said she needed approval to refund me but it was taking too long, so she said shed call me back in an hour. She never called me back. Terrible customer service. I just went through my credit card company to dispute. I thought Id give Ace a chance instead of continuing to use the other big box home improvement stores, but this error and all the time its taken me to dispute an order I did not receive is not worth it!!

Hear me out. I ordered online then get email saying its not available. Website showed it. But excellent customer service once my weed Wacker arrived and I stopped by for a pickup. Not just for Excellent service provided to me but everyone I saw had the deer look on the face.... Hello, may I help you find something.

Everything is locked up. I had to wait for a sales rep to buy a hammer and screwdriver. Ive never had such a degrading experience while trying to buy utterly basic tools. I get that shoplifting is a thing but so is treating customers with respect. I will not be returning to this hardware store again.

The Ace Hardware at San Mateo and Lomas has an amazing variety of products and the staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly.

Stopped in for hacksaw blades while in the middle of a job close by. Very nice store and friendly staff. The 2 lovely ladies that helped were fantastic. Unfortunately everything is locked up but you cant blame them for taking precautions, especially in that area

An ok place with what seems like out of the ordinary items. I give it a lower rating due to the fact they Should be experts yet didn’t know a thing about my purchase. Due to that I returned it the next day as it was completely the wrong part.

I was in your store on January 20th and I want to give credit to the cashier Roberta for handling a very busy morning answering phone, ringing up customers and assisting in tools while Joshua was helping me with my needs. They did very well. It seemed like it was only the 2 running the store that morning. I give them 5 stars for their services. The store however could have used more staff on hand to help them out. Where is management during all of this.

I hope you dont need the restroom while shopping here because they will refuse to let you.I take meds that make me need to go more often and they still refused so stay away if are taking anything like me it can be humiliating to be refused a basic human need. I will never shop there again or recommend this place to anyone. Only place that has ever refused me to simply use their restroom while shopping at their store. Never again 👎

This store is HUGE and has tons of reliable brands. The staff was nice and quick to open a display for me. Will definitely return!

I went in to buy a Stihl chainsaw and they were super helpful. The tech assembled the saw and we went outside and he showed me how to use it. Great customer service and a great saw.

They have I what I need, good customer service, help you find what youre looking for.

My preferred spot for tools, light bulbs, garden equipment, adhesives, light electrical, keys. I like their paint center. Strangely theyre a fifth the size of Home Depot, but they seem to have as good of a selection other than the things they dont carry at all (e.g. lumber).

So much better than Lowes.

Great customer service....Also my favorite place to go and get ideas for my balcony. Could spend hours at ACE....it seems they have everything needed for house and garden and so much more...

Abysmal at best. Every time, and I mean every time, I try and use a rewards discount its the same story: sorry that item is on sale for measly $1 off or something and we cant use your discount, or that item is not eligible for a discount. And I mean every time! I spend a lot of money there, or used to that is, and the manager is unwilling to apply my rewards discount. Some reward huh Ace? Im done with Ace Hardware and will go Lowes where I get 10% off everything all the time for veterans discount and they actually appreciate my business.

Always quick and easy. You pay a tad more than the big box places but worth the ease and speed.

Went here yesterday... Customer service is horrible. Wow. I went back today to return 2 shelves I bought... She snatched my receipts ans then The Old lady manager with short hair was super irritated for some reason and was very rude when I asked how much the bonnie plants were. Will not be going back to this location. Ever!

Fast friendly service. Locally owned. Everyones trained in every department. Dont forget to use the hand sanitizer or hand wipes at the entrance.

In a town with choices, customer service should be at the top of the list for businesses. This Ace does it right,. I have been to the Home Depot on Eubank twice and am discussed at the lack of help. So after walking up and down one area for too long. I went to Ace and was asked multiple times if I needed help. Thank you Ace for keeping old values alive.

Theyre always fully stocked on whatbwe are there to buy. They have very kind, knowledgeable and helpful customer service.

Whenever my old house decides it wants attention by making me play guess which era this was installed and rushes me out the door with a corroded part in one hand and a no-friggin-idea-what-this-is in the other, I go straight to ACE. A few times Ive had to ask the staff for specific help and was SHOWN TO the part I needed instead of vaguely directed to an aisle and left to my own devices. Its a good feeling knowing I have exactly what I need when I get home, and for that, I thank you!ACE keeps my house happy... And when my house is happy, Im happy!

It was basically an in and out kind of thing but i dont think i was the type of patron they wanted in there, a little dirty from working i mean,, because two employees followed me around like i was there to steal their safe,, BTW, if i did get a safe from there i would have to steal it because theyre way too expensive for hard working americans like me

What a quiet, pleasant little shop to get all your home shopping needs taken care of. They had every single thing I had on my list & multiple people at my service to help me out. (Not burn-outs, either...well informed, knowledgeable employees.) Although the prices were high, I didnt mind not dealing with the clusterf*** of stress/chaos Home Depot has become for once! It was almost relaxing!

Not only did I find exactly what I was looking for..the customer service I received from the staff especially at worker named Josh was great.

Not impressed. No public bathroom. We we told to go to the pub downstairs at 9:am Pubs arent open! Thank goodness I didnt have a potty training toddler with me. Hard to look at tools, Yeti cups etc! Not sure well be back....staff was nice though.

Colleen, an employee there is extremely rude and disrespectful. I usually come to this store because its nearby. Today was the last time I will ever visit. She huffed and puffed because I asked her to get a tool out for me (dont lock everything up if youre going to throw a fit about it). And then she micromanaged the kid that helped me check out, making it take even longer. If she is the manager I am completely shocked. Every other employee Ive dealt with there has always been great. She should be fired, I cant imagine working with her let alone for her.

Very strange p well I mean about empty or strange was it was raining and thundering that day was the lights kept on going off n back on. it was really eerie. Or otherwise in that stuff is great that case hardware but I like the one it taos better because my family manages it..

Its smaller than most but still a good selection of supplies and tools.

The had the chlorine I needed for my swimming pool and the did not price Gouch me, thank you for keeping it fair prices.

Very well marked for entry and exits also marking on the floors for social distancing. Staff very friendly, helpful, and informative. I was in and out and helped very quickly.

The manager helped us locate and place a special order for a hard to find tool. He was genuinely invested in our quest and was super helpful in placing the special order. The product arrived in 2 days and we promptly got a call to let us know it arrived. When we came to pick it up, the manger greeted us and made sure we were pleased with the tool. This place has hometown manners in a big city which is hard to find anymore. We will be back, not just for special orders but for all the other little stuff we need for our home.

They normally have angry unhelpful people working there. But recently the hired a nice lady that even knew where to find needed items. So improving.

Had the hardware I needed, and even though one fuse was hidden away in another area, the people were able to find it and get me on my way in no time.

Floor employees are knowledgeable. Store is really clean. One cashier was a little snippy at my 71 yr old father but overall a good store with quality products.

Easy to find what I needed, not crowded

I was looking for a specialty screw for shower pipe. I had called before going there, once I got there, they were ready to assist. The associate provided great service of finding the right screw. I recommend bringing in a sample of what youre looking, that will help with the process. Always call first, good luck on your findings

Friendly service. Had just run out of the items that I wanted due to a sale. They were able to order it for me. However, the warehouse was 2 days late in sending the needed item.

My swamp cooler pump went out, during the covid 19 quarantine restrictions in may, I tried a big box store and did not want to wait in that outdoor line for a quick in and out trip for a new pump. I was able to get to one of the local Ace Hardware sites and get in and out in less than 5 minutes. The employee even double checked with another employee to make sure I recieved exactly what I needed, she was correct in her info but still it is nice to know they arent faking expertise, usually the big box store employees will pretend to be an expert even when you can tell they dont know what they are talking about

I wanted to give this store five stars for all the diligent work they did. Short story long, I thought I needed a key fob for my Chrysler. This place was recommended to me. We tried the key fob battery but to no avail, they went ahead and ordered me one. Brent kept me informed every step of the way. Fortunately for me, it was a recall issue, so the dealership replaced the parts plus issues me new fobs. I was able to get my money back with no issues. I would recommend this store to anyone.
