Great first time experience with Jay Walton Automotive located in Albuquerque on Central between Eubank and Wyoming. Made an appointment, showed up and they started working on my vehicle right away, and were ahead of schedule getting the work completed. I waited in the reception area while the work was being done, and I was very impressed at the professionalism of the staff greeting customers and answering their questions. Everyone who went in was extremely happy with the services they received. I was also impressed at how clean the building was! I will use them again, and highly recommend to anyone needing automotive work done.

I took my brand new car in for a complete color change going from maroon to a custom-mixed old school green. It looks absolutely fabulous! Big shout-out to Caleb for working with me to make the vision of the shade of green I had in my head a beautiful reality! He understood the look I was trying to get and was able to bring it to life. I Got In A Wreck July 9th My Car Wasnt Finished Until August 27th They Said They Did A Safety Check Its All Good To Go! My Car Was SHAKINGGGG Going 50 Mph ! They Didnt Tell Me I Needed New Tires . NOTHING! I Was On The Freeway & My Tire Treading Flew Off Caused More Then 6000$ Worth Of Damage ! Took My Car Back In On August 30th & Asked Jacquiline Didnt You Guys Do A Safety Check Why Didnt You Tell Me!! She Said We Dont Do Full Safety Checks On Vehicles . So Yall Drove It Didnt Look To See What The Shaking Was ? Ryan I Believe That Was His Name Said They Drove It On The Freeway ! & Didnt Feel It. My Car Was Driven On TRAMWAY & It Was Shaking!! I Then Got My Car Back October 1st With A New Dint & Scratches! Ryan Said Let Me Pull It Up & See He Then Came Outside & Said It Was On There I Then Asked To See! He Couldnt Find It! My Headlights Were Crooked My Grill Wasnt Put On Correctly . My Car Didnt Look The Same At All! It Took Them Until October 6th To fix My Car! I Asked Them After They Brought It From The Back Was A Safety Check Done!!! They Said Yes! I Knew They Were Lying Because They Had Just Finished Working On It & Brought It From The Back When I Get In My Vehicle The DASHBOARD SAYS LOW PRESSURE IN TIRE! & It Wasnt Mentioned At All To Me . & Its AIR Why Couldnt They Just Fill It Up! I Do Not RECCOMEND Going Here What So Ever!

This is my second time using Jay Walton and I have had a great experience both times. They are very transparent and explain everything that needs to be done/was done. I will definitely go back to them if needed.

Learned about Jay Walton Automotive because they are AAA approved facility. A neighbors dog had put some scratches on both sides of my truck. They gave me an estimate to have the scratches buffed out. They seemed very knowledgeable and professional and I asked them for estimates for other work I need might need to have done such as a tune-up. I will update this review once Ive had work done there in the next week or two!

Wednesday was quoted 800 from the shop and told not to bring in the SUV until Monday. When got there on Monday, had no paperwork and raised the price to 1100. Did not use the because of the 300 increase from Wednesday to Monday for the SUV that was brought in on Monday

I worked with Jay Walton a year ago (4/2020) and I felt that I had been treated fairly and well. That is why I took my car in for an estimate earlier this month after someone had backed into my car in a parking area. The original estimate indicated that it might require a couple of hours of labor to take care of the damage in the front.I took my car in a few days later, prepared to sit and wait for two hours. However, when the techs got to my car they found that the damage could be eliminated by popping back in that which had originally appeared to be broken in places, and dismantling was not required. That was good news. The news got better, as I was informed that there was no charge.I was glad not only for the honesty shown by the folks at Jay Walton, but also that my initial instinct about this business was spot-on.

AAA towed my car here to have 2 flat tires inspected for repair. The people here were all friendly and engaged. My tires could not be repaired and so I bought new ones, which were very well priced.While I was there I was able to watch them help several other customers and I was impressed with the way they were so consistently personable and knowledgable in the way they explained problems and answered questions.I do not hope for automobile problems, but when they occur I believe I have a new go to shop.Thanks for your service Jay Waltons.

Jay Walton repaired my car to like-new condition. The estimator was professional, and explained everything clearly. The end result was outstanding. Throughout, strict COVID protocols were followed -masks, surface wipe downs (including keys and credit card). Highly recommended.

Took my truck in for an estimate on several things. They started work without authorization. They damaged my wheels and denied it. My front windshield was cracked while in their possession. They refused ro acknowledge the damage that they caused. Will never take my vehicles there ever again.

Fantastic and accommodating customer service! I was driving from Arizona to Virginia (moving cross-country) and developed a coolant leak along the way. The shop was able to fix the leak the same morning that I called to ask for help. They even helped me unhook the full U-haul trailer I was towing so they could work on my truck. Repair looks great and no paint lines

Took in my 2004 mini Cooper S type to put on a carbon fiber hood. They did a wonderful job, customer service was excellent absolutely is a five-star place. Casey was wonderful and always a step ahead of my requests. definitely a full-service shop. They took care of my power steering leak found a leak in my oil pan took care of the worst problem of the two, and I’m definitely going back to get the oil pan work. Absolutely would recommend them to anyone the work was five star. They also washed and cleaned the outside of my car before they returned it back to me. My mini Cooper looks amazing with the carbon fiber hood they also did a few other things that I didn’t even remember to tell them about. My 2004 mini Cooper looks brand new again.

Good work. Labor prices in Albuquerque are crazy for some jobs. But thats a regional thing apparently. I got quotes from multiple locations and it was all the same for labor. Most importantly, their work at Jay Walton was solid and good customer service 👍

Casey was very courteous and knowledgeable in dealing with the estimate and my questions. The vehicle was ready earlier than promised. WOW - this is the second time weve needed the services of Jay Walton Automotive. The first time they repaired extensive hail damage on our Subaru Outback. They did a completely beautiful job - the large dimples were everywhere and when they finished there was NO EVIDENCE anywhere of the mess we brought them. The workmanship / expertise was simply amazing.A little over a month ago I was rear-ended in our Forester. The rear bumper flat-out exploded from the impact and the under carriage was damaged, and a whole mess of other things were damaged. The timing has been unfortunate due to the consequences of COVID-19 but JWA hung in there even with all the delays for parts, etc. They kept us informed all along the way and were so professional, thorough, AND thoughtful.I got to pick up my car this afternoon - no detail was overlooked and their work was, again, completely FABULOUS. I am grateful because there are less than 40,000 miles on the car (we tend to drive our cars forever) for it to look shabby while it is this young would be very disappointing. It looks beautiful inside and out and the smashed back end is a distant memory.Every aspect of both repairs was better than we could have imagined. I HIGHLY recommend Jay Walton Automotive. They give you a low estimate to get you hooked and then they call you daily to let you know it will be a few hundred more to do the job. Take your car to this company and you will find out first hand what I mean. Good luck if you go with these people. I obviously do Not recommend this company.

I started using JW after a friend recommended them. I have found their work to be very high quality and their prices very competitive, actually less cost than Firestone and other multi store chains. I would recommend their services. I have had a 1972 Ford F100 repaired, a 1996 Geo Prism, and a 2016 Chevy Impala serviced here. They also provide collision repair.

It was a good experience. The help was friendly, practical. They met my need, gave me the estimate, and made the appointment, which was followed through just as expected!

We were towing our travel trailer home when we realized the trucks rear tire was was smoking. Found Jay Walton on Angies List and really glad we did. It was not an easy or quick repair but they honored their estimate and did the job right. Would highly recommend.

I love this place because they know what theyre doing and if they dont, they refer you to a place that does. Theyre honest and efficient and genuinely want to solve the problem.

These guys tried to swindle me! Beware! I brought my car in because the check engine light was on. This place had great reviews online, plus they opened early in the morning. The guy I talked to was super friendly when I came in, but then they quoted me at $860 for 4 spark plugs and ignition coils for my 16 year old car. The whole car isnt even worth $860. I found someone else in town who did it for $140. I understand that labor is expensive, but I cant believe they would try to get that much money from me for something so easy to do. The other guys had the whole thing done in 30 min. On top of that, Jay Waltons charged $125 just for the diagnostic. Im incredibly disappointed.

Excellent automotive shop whether routine repairs, maintenance or body work. Very good alternative to dealer service. We have been using them for about four years with several vehicles. The mechanics are top notch, the support staff is great and their prices are competitive. Highly recommend.

Our car have been towed to Jay walton because AAA has recommended us to send it there. We dont know much about mechanic, but everything sounded super pricey. Man labor was between $48/h and $80/h. The work they performed on our car, however, was just amazing, the front and drivers door were completely crashed, but when we got our car back it was better looking that ever before, and everything works perfectly. Their paint is life guaranteed. The facility is really welcoming, with all sorts of coffee and tea, and sitting area, and the staff is courteous and helpful

Spark plug blew out and I didn’t know quite what happened so we had it towed down there and they were incredibly friendly they got the work done fast and were completely honest in everything. The price could not have been better. Overall I am completely satisfied with Jay Walton Automotive.

Business model is obviously built upon milking every penny from insurance companies. Quote was 5 times other shops in area.

If you are looking for a general automotive shop that is fast, honest, fairly priced, and maintains high levels of customer service I would definitely recommend these guys. Took my overheating truck into a couple different places that had it for a week could not figure it out these guys did so in one day were honest and very helpful. In an industry lacking honesty, and customer service they excel in both!

Called today asking about the price for an Uber and Lyft inspection, the person who answered told me the service cost one oh four ninety five. I couldnt believe what I heard. I asked again to clarify it was $104.95, and they said yes. I asked why it was so much, because other places charge at the most $20, and the person rudely answered Go with the $20 one then.I highly recommend to not go here, sounds like a scammy business with unprofessional folks.

My car came out looking like new. Along the way, I was updated on the progress and given estimates on time so I could coordinate my rental car. Ive seen their work from other people who used them and that is why I took my car there to begin with. Will return if needed.

Picked up my car and right away they had to take it back to the shop to fix the paint on the fender. Then when I drive away , my gas Gage is saying I have Zero miles untill empty. I left the car with a quarter tank of gas in it. Some one must have been joyriding in my car. Then later when I get home to really inspect my car I find bumper missing screws on passenger side and not fully in place at the bottom. Painted fender on inside of the hood gray and not silver like the rest of the car. Said that they had to adjust the door because it moved. Door was fine to begin with. Had to replace headlight because of damage. Light never got touched by the accident. Scratched fender on passenger side. Small but I noticed it. Its just a car right. Wrong . Its My pride and joy and I work hard to keep it nice ! I will not recommend this shop to anyone. Its called taking pride in your work and the boss of the shop needs way better quality control. AAA approved shop, thats why I went there. Should have gone somewhere else !

I was driving from Missouri to California when my maintenance required and malfunction lights came on. I called and they were able to get be in as soon as I got there. Fantastic customer service and waiting room/facility. The part was a little more expensive than other places, but not by much. I definitely recommend.

These people were so helpful, did the work week, and did the work fast. I had hail damage on my truck. They not only got it done well, but ahead of schedule and offered a lifetime warranty that works at any NAPA Auto Center. This will be the only place that I go from now on.

Charged me $250 to troubleshoot my air conditioning (I had removed the interior and the front bumper to facilitate easy access) and then they told me there was no leak found. I later found the leak in my garage in an obvious spot. Nice big shop, smiling faces, but youre going to pay for their many employees and overhead.

I had a quote for the same work at a Toyota dealership, but they were $300 more than Jays. All the work was done without a hitch. Besides saving money, I know Jay Walton stands behind their work with a 24 month/24K miles warranty on parts and labor. They fixed up my baby in a couple days and didnt try to price gouge me.Having such a great experience, we decided to take my wifes car in to have it looked at. It was having an over heating issue that seemed to only occur with distance travel in the summer. Unfortunately they were unable to reproduce the issue, but refused to charge us asking only that we bring it back should it occur again.They have won my business so long as I remain a resident here in Albuquerque and I highly recommend giving them a chance to win you over too.

Took my car in for an estimate and when I picked it up the emergency brake was broken. They claimed they didnt damage it and refused to do anything about it. Ive been using the E-brake daily for years and it was working fine when I dropped it off.Time to find a new shop that A) doesnt damage my vehicle when its in their care, B) takes responsibility for their actions, and C) listens to and believes the customer instead of calling them a liar. Big thumbs down Jay Walton.
