This was fantastic coffee! Super friendly staff and great atmosphere. Theyve got lots of games here too if your into that! The breakfast was also fantastic!! The locals were greeted by name and we felt equally at home.

Weve visited twice in recent months while on road trips. The Interchange sandwich is outstanding. Excellent house coffee as well. Service was excellent. Atmosphere is great. Just a short drive from I-35, I highly recommend for anyone traveling through the Albert Lea area.

LOVE this place. Just been once on road trip from KC to Minneapolis. Flatbread lunch was excellent and coffee great quality :) but biggest shout out to the chef/manager who took time to listen to us and creatively respond to our vegan wants. Thank you sir. Worth more than 5 stars! Love the industrial/arty ambience too. Wish we lived closer, would be back often Im sure

This place is extremely homey, and the staff are really sweet! They have amazing tea and coffee, and their fresh pick and proper start are both great breakfasts!

$18 for a Ruben sandwich… great food and great staff. Most outrageous prices I’ve ever seen for the sandwich. No bigger than a normal lunch sandwich.

The Interchange has been a great addition to our town. I have enjoyed the coffee in the morning and the food in the evenings. I enjoy seeing a wide verity of drinks and live music. They have a great atmosphere for sitting and relaxing.

Love this place, and love this space – definitely worth the detour off I-35 / I-90!Great brownstone building in an historic downtown quarter. The food and coffee were tasty. Theres free internet, and art for purchase on the walls. Wonderful service and great air conditioning for those hot days!Hours a bit limited, so heads up: The place typically is closed on Sundays and closes at 2 PM during the week, with the exception of Thursdays and Fridays, when theyre open until 8 PM.

Went for a private party. The decor is quite attractive. Its a combination of stressed industrial with art pieces on the wall. The artwork is from local artists, so its an eclectic collection. The wine was very good. I tried 3 suggestions from the house, and all were winners. The service was excellent with the owner/manager and staff keeping things moving all the time. The food was surprisingly good. It was not exotic, but well prepared. Definitely a winner.

White chocolate mocha is waiting for you at this relaxing venue. Have one before your crispy, delicious flat bread pizza arrives AND one after and youre in a perfect zone for listening to live music and carrying on quiet, meaningful conversation with your family member or friend. Our server, Eric, was fast, friendly, and very accommodating. This coffee house is becoming a fast favorite for us!

This place is the best place in Albert Lea. And Minnesota for that matter. Its a hip place but surprisingly still attracts the older people as well. I come here nearly everyday. The owners are amazing. And its not some crappy chain. This was made from the hard work of local people. All the stuff is local as well. How can it get better.

I love this coffee shop. I usually go here for business meetings. It is not too noisy so you can talk while enjoying great coffees.

One of my favorite places. The sandwiches are unique and made to order. The tomato soup is over the top, always hot and tasty. I never feel rushed when eating. Parking is available on the street. Bathrooms are clean. They take credit cards.

Nice upgrade to an old space! Good food, ok option selection. Its a coffee, tea, breakfast, or light lunch kinda place. I appreciated being asked if I wanted a mug or disposable coffee cup instead. Reminded me of River Rock coffee in St. Peter, MN. Nice showcase of local art.

A week or two ago I snuck in right before close(just for coffee)- they were so kind and patient took care of us. We came back again the food was delicious coffee great (and iced tea) homemade soup and once again service to impress!My mom is sick and because of this has a hard time finding something that sounds good. This can be frustrating for servers.Thank you for being kind even without knowing the situation. It made a difference!Thank you to the team and the boss for a job well done!!Highly recommend!!

My favorite lunch spot!

New review. A year ago I gave 5 stars. It was cozy and comfortable. Now it is a miss match of a bar/restuarant/bistro/coffee shop. Their (kitchen) area is a mess. The register is not manned and employees go back and forth from orders to making coffee. The new bar is located in a horrible place. Please FIX THE LAYOUT. Cozy is what you sell so sell it already. Couches up front. Offices in back bar in front of your office. Move and clean your prep and kitchen space. Upgrade your equipment to be more ornate for your customers. Please I do consulting. You will lose your customer base unless you fix it.

I was in this weekend, and the staff was pleasant AND quick (Ive only gone two other times, but have only gotten one or the other in the past). I felt the price was still a bit high for what I got. Its a cute place, locally owned, but I dont see any reason to go in often.

Ive been here a few times. The Interchange is a fantastic bistro. While in Albert Lea for a photoshoot today I stopped in for a mocha and it was fantastic. Airy, creamy, chocolaty. The environment is clean and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Grabbed a gluten free flatbread and strawberry banana smoothie to go for the trip home. They were both amazing. Will definitely stop in again when I am in Albert Lea. Family-friendly. Gluten free options. Healthy too!

Such a nice place to meet up with friends or just sit and enjoy a cup of coffee to yourself. Love the location, you can grab a cup of coffee and then do a little window shopping. Great service!

The beer is beer, its grain belt of craft, I havent had the good but the people sitting around say its subpar. They had a live band and it kinda smelled like the devils lettuce. Groovy tunes non the less, Im to low class for this place, they tried to give me a glass for my bottle of beer so 3 out a 5, save your dishes for someone else.

Me my wife were riding through town when she needed to get online for some work related items. We were presently surprised to find that the coffee was excellent service was just as good with plenty of room to spread out and plug in!! Definitely coffee shop ambience with plenty of locals around speaking on the topics of the day!!
