What a great, local lighting store. The manager, Cindy, is very kind and explained everything so thoroughly. It became clear quite quickly that she has a huge knowledge base from her decades of experience. Extremely pleased with the service and the selection. We will shop here again when we require more lighting.

Cindy did a fantastic repair on our 4 vintage lamps. Theyre not fancy but were glad we didnt have to throw them away. The price was great and cheaper than getting new lamps. She even left a voicemail 2 weeks and checked to make sure the lamps were working and that we were satisfied with the repair. Great shop and looking forward to getting a new fixture in the future as they have a great selection.

I have 2 little lamps that my grandfather made. They are very dear to me and I was so relieved with the care and expertise Cindy showed them! She is kind and warm and knowledgeable. She even called me to follow up and make sure the lamps were working. Cindy, and Solano Lighting, were recommended me to a friend who has lived nearby for over 40 years, and now I know why.

Very nice people and a good selection of interesting lighting fixtures.We dont live near Albany. And we couldnt find anything we liked in our local lighting stores. So for us it was worth the drive to Albany. Solano had several fixtures that we liked. And we bought a chandelier that were very happy with.

I recently brought my moms antique table lamp, with crystal drops, into Solano Lighting for repair. I needed the kind of expertise that would make her happy! (you dont want to disappoint your mom after all) The work was finished on time, they found an excellent match for the missing crystal drop, and fixed the wiring. Excellent communication, (even a follow up phone call) and it is clear that they would like you to be happy with their work, and take the time to do things well. Moms delighted that her lamp is working again!

I recently visited Solano Lighting to have a table lamp repaired. The staff was friendly and did a great job explaining to me the exact reason why the lamp had stopped working, and gave multiple options for repair based on how I would like to use the lamp. The repair was done quickly, and they even followed up days later to ensure the lamp was still working properly. I also felt like I learned valuable information that I can use in the future to troubleshoot lighting issues at home. Overall my experience was great, and I would definitely return for repairs or other lighting needs.

I recently moved back to Albany CA. Love that town! One of the things I like is how friendly everyone is. Like my experience with Solano lamp shop. My chandelier from my old house was to big for my new smaller place. The very friendly owner of the lamp shop helped alter and rewired my lamp to make it perfect to fit in my new home.I ordered a standing lamp from another lamp store online. When I got it, the lamp did not work. I took that lamp to the Solano lamp shop, where the owner figured out what was wrong with it, fixed it and did not even charge me!! Even though I did not buy the lamp there!! Who does that? That why I am giving them 5 stars.

I had a special heirloom lamp repaired at Solano lighting. Cindy took great care with repair. Excellent work! I also purchased a new reading lamp for our home--we are so pleased with it. Then, my daughter liked it so much, I ordered one for her.

Glad to be a repeat customer - my first time in, I found the perfect lampshade for a torchiere. More recently, I took in a bedside lamp that wasnt working. The owner tested it and found out it DOES work - therefore saving me a repair. I also sought a shade that better fits the space that lamp occupies, and she recommended a lovely one in a shape I might never have imagined. It turned out to be perfect. That level of customer care and attention to detail will send me back to Solano Lighting whenever I need an expert opinion.

I have been shopping at Solano Lighting for years and always get wonderful service from Cindy, the owner. Most of the lamps in my home come from there as well as a very distinctive living room candelabra type fixture that elicits lots of compliments from visitors to my home. They have a wonderful selection of items to choose from so I don’t need to drive far away to find what I want. We live near Solano Lighting and have walked by and admired their stock for years, occasionally buying something small. So during a recent remodel, when my wife and i decided to upgrade more of our lighting, we knew where we wanted to go. We bought a beautiful Tiffany floor lamp and shade here, and the store adjusted it for us so (at no cost!) so we wouldnt see the naked bulbs from a sitting position.Then, after looking all over (incl. all the chain stores) for other lamps and fixtures, we ended up coming back to Solano Lighting several times over the next few weeks to buy a couple of small table lamps, then a couple of exterior porch lights, and later a pair of wall sconces. Cindy is very helpful and gives great service to customers, helping us figure out just what we wanted. Their stock of lamps and lights is impressive for a small store. High quality stuff--no junk--makes for a very enjoyable shopping experience.

Ive used Solono Lighting several times in recent months to rewire a vintage chandelier, a floor lamp and table lamp. They do excellent quality work, offer honest, sound advice and guidance and are exceptionally polite, pleasant and reliable. They are my first go-to place for buying lampshades (great price on silk lampshade) and new lighting, but are also the best source for re-wiring antique or vintage lighting (after having shopped around for repair quotes). Check them out before you look elsewhere!

Great lighting store for both new lamps and repairs. I purchased several Hubbardton Forge lamps and recently purchased some Kichler outdoor lighting. Theyve worked out fabulously! Excellent customer service. Ive been going here for over 12 years and will continue to do so.

Solano lighting was very helpful for me in getting 2 bathroom fixtures. One is Kichler and the other, Besa. The Kichler is for the medium size BR, is on a dimmer, and is LED dimmable. The other is a muted bar type, is perfect in a very small BR. Cindy is very knowledgeable re bulbs and fixtures and how things will look when hung. Thanks Cindy!
