We purchased our new garage door (July 2021) and motor from Murphys Overhead Doors and want to share the entire process from scheduling our site visit to purchasing the new garage door and ultimately the entire installation was absolutely seamless for us. Jennifer within the front-end office was always available and quite pleasant to answer our various technical questions and to coordinate our new garage door order as well as scheduling the service/install call. The installation team (motor and new garage door and components) both Murphy OH Doors Installers Zach and Tom did an awesome job and also answered our numerous technical questions and explained the process throughout and completed the install in the allotted time frame. They were also very pleasant to deal with throughout their scheduled work tasks and very knowledgeable on the installation process. They cleaned up the site after this installation and hauled away all debris. Zach explained to us the functionality and options with the new garage door. I highly recommend Murphy’s overhead door for any garage door work around the Capital District.  I needed a new garage door opener unit. After browsing Murphy’s overhead door website I decided to stop in early in the morning to take a look at the products they offer. Cindy took us to their product display and went over the door opener product line and features. She was very knowledgeable, completely answering my questions, with no pressure to buy. The price she quoted including installation and taxes was lower than I had anticipated. The unit had all the features I was looking for and surprisingly included wifi with app door controls! I was scheduled for the next afternoon. Bob called early in the scheduled time frame to let me know we would be arriving in about a half hour. Bob was been absolutely wonderful. He was extremely skilled, professional, knowledgeable and the work was done to perfection. The unit came with two remotes, a keyless entry pad, and one wiredbutton. We had two wired buttons on our existing setup. Bob added the extra wired button with no extra cost! Bob was immaculate in keeping the work area clean, going so far as to putting paper towels under the end rails to prevent any lubricant from seeping to floor! The process was completely stress free. As I stated above, I highly recommend this company for any of your garage door needs.

We had an incredible experience with Murphy Overhead Doors - and namely Zack, the technician who was at our house within 15 minutes of our initial phone call. The most pleasant and competent guy weve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Kind of wish he couldve stayed longer! On a serious note, he was at the house within 15 minutes, was able to assess and fix our snapped cable and crooked, broken door in a half-hour flat. And the price cant be beat. This company is seriously terrific.

I hired Murphy Overhead Doors to fix a malfunctioning garage door. The day after they came and claimed to repair it, the door was still broken. I called back and they refused to complete the job or refund my money, despite their own paperwork claiming they warranty their work for 30 days. Stay away from Murphy Overhead Doors!

Had an overhead door replaced and it was a pretty painless process. Staff is very professional, from the woman who returned my inquiry to the guy who did the install. They even returned emails over the weekend and answered all my questions which really sped up the process. The installation went smoothly. The guy showed up on time, and left the garage nice and clean. Id keep them in mind for the future if I ever need my door serviced.

I have used Murphy’s services at least three times. Mason and the other two gentlemen demonstrated excellent customer service. Whoever trains them in this area should be commended for a job well done. I highly recommend Murphy’s.

Great company! The staff went out of their way to fit my parents in on their way home from work on the same day when their garage door was stuck. Their service was outstanding and their staff was very knowledgeable. They were very helpful and my parents were able to get out for a medical appointment they had the next day. We had our new garage door installed this week and we just love it. Murphy Overhead Doors was wonderful from beginning to end. Cindy came to our house, answered all our questions and made it so easy to put in our order. Josh then came to install the door and he was just great. He explained everything and was so patient with our questions as well. The door is beautiful and we are enjoying it more than we ever expected.

Needed to have 2 major springs replaced. Called at 12:30 and they were able to fit us in that afternoon. The service tech did a great job. Prompt, polite and efficient. He also did general maintenance and lubrication of all components. Good value for the money. Our door was fully operational that afternoon. Highly recommend.

Had a broken spring, technician recommended replacing door due to its age. Went to the shop, got excellent help from the staff in choosing a door. Installer Dave showed up two days later and was prepared, efficient and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this company. A+ sales and service.

Murphy Overhead Doors gave us an afternoon repair appointment on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, which was the first pleasant surprise (and to top that off, I only called the Friday before the storm). Despite the terrible weather this past weekend, Tim called us before 11 for that afternoon appointment. Since we were home, he was at our house within 15 minutes. And, within 15 minutes of arriving, he had a temporary fix in place, and had taken all the information he needed to get us quotes for the replacement we need. We are loyal customers for as long as we own a garage!

Door was installed quickly and I was told it should work fine with the motor and remotes that we had. It did not. I spoke with Cindy the following day who said, remember I told you you might need a new motor. Nope. Dont remember that. She then said she could have someone over to install a new motor and she would only charge me $400.00. I said alright. Then I spoke with my brother who said the present motor was only 2 years old. Called Cindy who said she misunderstood and had someone come over and fix the codes in the motor so they worked with our remotes. A bit fishy? Nice door though.

Very professional and trust worthy company. I had to replace my garage doors, called them. I didnt even have to be home when they worked. When I came back, all new doors installed, but I found issues. Called them the next morning, they came promptly and fix it although it was nothing to do with their earlier works. Very happy with this company

The staff was knowledgeable and there was no wait for service. I went there for an odd size overhead door spring and they had it in stock. The spring was reasonable and the correct one when I got it home. I would recommend this business for parts and service for your overhead door problems . I liked it there.

If I could give Murphy’s Overhead door a 10 star rating I would! Our garage door opener broke last night and the other was on it’s way out. In the morning my fiance attempted to fix the broken opener and after an hour gave up. He actually looked in the Verizon phone book to research overhead door companies in our area and called Murphy’s. He spoke with Cindy and explained the situation. She was extremely helpful and said to him we can send someone out to the house that afternoon. Tim arrived in a few hours later to his surprise. Tim saved the day, what a great guy, he was professional & very honest. Tim said no need to replace the unit we can fix it, which he did in no time at all. If you need a garage door/overhead door company make Murphy’s your first choice!

Had two LiftMaster (1/2 HP 8365 with WI-FI)openers installed yesterday. Dave did a wonderful job, very professional, very knowledgeable of the equipment, Dave went well above what was needed to get the job done right. I will always call on Murphy for any Garage door issues, there just is no other company that can beat them. Very satisfied. I highly recommend them.

Called this company because my door was not working. We set a date and time for 12pm for a repair. After 3pm I called the company and a woman said the technicians are on the way. Finally around 5pm the man showed up. I live only 2 miles from Murphys shop. While performing the repair the man decided to use my own ladder because like he said it was easier to use mine instead of taking his out of the truck. During which he insulted the quality of the ladder trying to tell me what were the better brands. He did repair the spring above the door but the next morning the door went up sideways and got stuck. I missed work 2 days over a garage door. Company another Tec said it was because my door probably froze to the ground. To me it makes no sense. Never in the 15 years did that happen before why after did it happen after this company put there hands on it. Wont use or recommend this company. Sorry.

Ive been told for many years by different garage door opener installers that the way my garage was built, I would need a very expensive type of opener. The regular one wouldnt work. It would cost at least double what a normal garage door opener would cost. (Or I couldnt get one at all.) Ive had the garage for over 20 years. I called Murphy Overhead Doors for one more opinion... Cindy came out, took some measurements and pictures, spoke to her installer, Bob, and said they could do it with the normal opener!!! I was thrilled! Bob came to install within a few days of me calling to book the appt. HE DID IT!!!! I am sooo happy! Ive had them for a few months now and absolutely LOVE not having to manually open the doors anymore! It was a challenge, but he went above and beyond to do it! Thank you Bob and Cindy for an excellent experience! I would highly recommend them!!

Initial service was done on my garage door plus I purchased a spare remote – about 2 weeks later the problem with the door reoccurred, I called and was given a run around about warranty on work performed, needed to talk to the owner and so on – needless to say 6 weeks later I’m still waiting for someone to come out – really when I was paying they were there in a hurry – when they don’t see a $ it’s another story – too bad I’ve heard good things about this company – I guess there’s a 1st time for everything. Let the customer beware.

I called ahead to see if they had a residential hinge Number three , She said yes we do have that , It takes me 25 minutes to drive to the store when I get there , The lady tells me come on over here will take a look , as it turns out they didnt have any residential number threes , and theres a bunch of mixed altogether in a box I asked her to please go through and find one she says well you can go through them , when I mentioned I called ahead she started getting pissy , I asked her to please go through and she says again you can go through them terrible customer service
