Love this little shop in downtown Albany! Staff is always very polite and tentative. Totally love their oasis cookies (end up getting some to go along w cheese straw cookies).. baklava is also very good. If dining in, dont forget the free refills on sweet tea!

This is a local favorite and while I have not seen that any websites listed as a must try it certainly is! Their sandwiches and lunch specials are great and its definitely an old school restaurant. While everybody is nice you definitely need to be intentional while ordering! Dont forget to grab a dozen cookies on the way out.

This the “Best kept Secret “ sandwich shop in Albany. The rueben sandwich is to die for. Today was the first time visiting this shop, however, it won’t be the last.

We went in for lunch today and the food was spectacular. I love this little place. We had a pb&j, vegetable beef soup, chips, and two cookies. The employees are super friendly and do a great job! The owner said my daughter was adorable and wanted to hold her! I had to convince her to give her back. So sweet.

The BEST sub sandwich bread ever. The cookies are always so good - my fave are the sugar free oasis and the Chewy Nut Supreme. Yum!

I young lady who answered the phone was very rude. Before I placed my order she told me how busy they were, what time they closed and her board was full order. This is not my first time receiving poor and rude customer service from there. I can spend my coins somewhere else. Then my sandwich was wrong and cold. I will not be patronizing The Cookie Shoppe again. The owner and her employees need customer service training.

I get there the sign is still on the door open I get in the the first lady I see looks at me crazy like what are you doing here. Didnt wanna be bothered, so I tell her want I want, she rolls her eyes relunctantly and says OK. Then the owner looks around the corner and sees me , she does the same thing. With an attitude. Never again !!!! Horrrrrible customer service

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Albany. Would take anyone I know there. Even brought co-workers and contractors from out of town to try it and everyone loved it. But that changed today. Was out and about and decided to stop by for a Rueben. I noticed a sign that said new hours 10 to 2. Not having my phone out at that time and unaware of the time, I see the owner and what looked like costumers eating. I walk in and immediately the owner lady ask, can I help you. I ask if they are opened or closed. WHAT TIME IS IT? Excuse me maam? WHAT TIME IS IT? I am not sure maam, as I reach for my phone. She them ask one of the patrons there. CAN YOU TELL HIM WHAT TIME IT IS? She yells at the guy. Its 2:09. THERE! SEE WERE CLOSED! Yes I do see. Hopefully you will see you have lost a customer for your rudeness. You could of polity said you were closed instead of getting hostile and trying to embarrass me in front of other customers. I will gladly never come back

The Reubens are pretty standard as far as how they are made, but they are stacked. The BLTs are good. Even the soups are good.The place is small though. And sometimes it seems very, very disorganized, but they do have a system. If you go in during the lunch rush you can definitely expect a little wait, but it is well worth it.Either way this little place is charming and Ive been there several times in the past year. Apparently, theyve been around for a long time and Ive just never known about it, because I dont like going downtown.If youre looking for a great sandwich this is the place to go.Simply great sandwiches, better cookies, and best of all is the baklava!

This place is super busy at lunch time but they get people in and out super fast! Wait time was about 5 minutes or so and the wait was a pleasure because there are neat historical pictures all around the restaurant. This is definitely a family gathering place and everyone feels welcome. The sandwiches are filling and the food is good and home made. The cookies are amazing and the tea is even better! The owner was running the show smoothly.

I have never been here before, so this was first shot. The Reuben was good, but the Philly Cheese Sub was phenomenal!! It was only a short wait for our food, during a busy lunch rush. We will definitely be returning!!

Absolutely love this place! If you are in a mad rush don’t come in, while it takes time to prepare your food fresh it is well worth the wait. Pimento cheese sandwich is my “go to” - and I normally don’t eat pimento cheese sandwiches, soups are all fresh and delicious. If you can find a place to sit down, do so, it’s a good environment to appreciate great food and the home town atmosphere.

Oh my goodness this place is wonderful. This was recommended to us since we werevfrom out of town. Hands down the best chicken salad sandwich ive ever had. The white bread was so soft the ckn salad was perfect not dry but not too mayonnaisey either. The pickles on the side were just right. Looking forward to enjoying this establishment again next time in Albany, GA

Everything about this place is an A+! The ladies at the counter taking orders were great! The cook as she introduced herself came out to check on a question she had regarding the order. I really cant say enough about the staff. The food was great! We will be back!

Has the old style building aesthetic but is not run down at all.The service has always been excellent. Ive had wrong orders happen but they made an extra point to fix it right away.The price is fair for what quality of service and food youre getting. Ive never had any buyers remorse when eating here. You will spend as much if not less here than you will at Subway, with ten times the quality and equal quantity.Highly recommend their cuban sandwich, and you absolutely MUST HAVE the baklava.

Processed chicken in wraps not what I was expecting. Also to pay over $5.00 for it when I can make the real chicken wrap at home for free. Flavor was mild, was looking for more in depth flavors. Not my number one spot but maybe to others.

I forgot how awesome this place is. Get the egg salad sandwich. The Irish stew was just what you need on a cool day. Which is the only time they make it.
