Good selection, but I dont want to be a part of your ridiculous scalping program, and I dont want it pitched to me without mentioning the ridiculous fixed price tag of 200 dollars a year (no per month options) just to get better access to some electronics you should be allowing everyone to have equally. And no, having an extended tryout period for your things isnt worth it, either.

We had to check in with a queue. They were very busy but it was worth the wait. Jonathan was very knowledgeable when it came to laptops. After explaining what we were going to use the laptops for he was able to point us in the right direction. We had to order them online and we had them in 2 days. Would definitely go to Best Buy again.

This is one of the largest and busiest Best Buy locations l have been in. My experiences have been very good here. This store seems to be well managed and the sales associates have been responsive, friendly, helpful and courteous. Note that Best Buy has made it near impossible to call their stores. The calls are routed to call centers. Even call center personnel have a difficult time contacting someone at the store. I needed to contact someone at the store before I visited because I am seeking a service as well as products. It took two calls and more than an hour total time waiting on hold to get the information I needed. Even then I didnt speak to anyone at the store. Thanks to the diligent and determined efforts of the call center personnel they contacted the store and got the information I needed.

My dad bought a computer here and got Geek Squad support. When the computer was delivered we took it in to get it set up and asked that a printer was set up as well. The Geek Squad never called to tell us it was ready(we waited a week). We called the support number and they said it was not processed yet and would have the Geek Squad call us(they never called). Went into the store a week latter and the Geek Squad member told me they couldn’t help us right now because they were busy(They had plenty of time to chat with the young woman in front of me, and tell her they would work on her computer because they had nothing to do). After I told them I was there to check on my computer status they said it was ready and they had called once to say it was done(cell phones are great, they log calls and oddly there was no call from them). Got the computer to my dads house and the first thing that pops up is that the virus protection is expiring, then that Microsoft was never set up, and finally I had to set up the printer. Called Best Buy to get that 24/7 Geek Squad support and couldn’t get anyone on the phone. Absolute waste of time and money. Do not use Geek Squad, do it yourself.

It seems to me , if the Best Buy Corporation spent the time making sure the employees were addressing customers questions and issues rather than being so caught up in talking to each other and brushing people off, playing ignorant like they dont understand what the customers are asking. Customer service is suppose to be the main focus and I never can get it when I go there.Typically the average employee doesnt have a clue about electronics unless its a game system or phone and even then ...you better do your research.

Its a standard Best Buy. I went in looking for a 135w/180w charger for my gaming laptop, but they didnt carry anything powerful enough. The highest they had was 90w. If you are looking for something very niche like that, youre better off finding it from an online store.What I was surprised about was that they had a variety of computer peripherals targeted towards gaming, streaming, and other creative media (Microphones, stream decks, Wacom tablets). If you need any mainstream device you can probably find some version of it here. But, unless youre picking it up from the online store, youre not going to be able to find a good variety of computer components here.

I had an appointment to bring my 42-inch television up there and I was told they ship it out. it takes at least three weeks Id be better off to take it home and make a service call. I did that and called as told I had to buy a service contract and the service calls are $50 per incident in addition to the repair I was quite disappointed I still have not have my TV repaired

My son bought a new phone here today and the staff went above and beyond. Ramon was patient helping us be sure the phone would meet my kids needs, and when we had to hunt down our old carriers account information. And when there was some kind of glitch in the system when porting the number, everyone worked together to get the exchange finalized. It took awhile but everything was done right and my son is very happy with his purchase.

Best Buy stands by their responsibility to provide electronics recycling. Check the website for details and what is acceptable to recycle before showing up. I felt much better dropping off old laptops for recycling instead of them going in the trash, which seems to be far too common.

DO NOT PURCHASE APPLIANCES FROM BEST BUY - FAIR WARNING. We decided to go with Best Buy for a washer and dryer for a deal they had going on. It was a nightmare working with them, first washer was dented and we ended up waiting 3 weeks for replacement. Their customer service is the worst, we went back and forth several times trying to get answers and they provided little help - my wife ended up having to go to the store to get our issue fixed which they still managed to not know what they were doing. Installers are hardly professionals. We bought a dishwasher after that but ended up canceling the order due to all the trouble with the washer and dryer.

I absolutely love Best Buy... Great selection of ALL your electronic needs BUT I rate it a 3 star because good luck trying to get someone to help you. Seriously.. I walked around for 20 minutes trying to find help and either someone was with a customer already or when i DID finally see someone they looked, turned and walked in the opposite direction like they avoided doing work. I actually dont plan on going back! PS I was in the market for a Sound Bar for my TV AND a universal laptop Cord... Looks like Ill be going elsewhere.

Store was disorganized and dirty for my taste. Items just seemed to be jammed all around the place. They need an overnight shift to clean up. I was looking for appliances, but they were just poorly displayed, not wiped down. Felt like I was in a second hand store. Im out posting 4 stars, because I was able to find after much searching a few items that arent usually found in other retail places, as well as I appreciated the security around the store.

Love this place. Its nice to be able to put hands on technology before buying it. Being that the nearest Best Buy to me closed awhile back it was really nice to visit this one. Felt like a kid at a big toy store. Awesome deals on Open Box merchandise. Only thing I didnt like was there wasnt prices on some of it.

The management is a bunch of kids who dont know the first thing of customer experience or even service. Take it from someone who has 15+ years of it in face to face environment.Train your employees on how to talk to people and not be rude. Dont put kids as managers who are not mature enough just because you are short staffed...or made a bad business decision.

Did wait for over 15 minutes for someone to help make a purchase... employees never acknowledged I was waiting, continually walked past helping others, never came over after asking for help at pick up counter. Only happened once, but worth noting.

Said that the camera department was his department but couldnt answer simple questions about any camera- instead read the description card- I could have done that! Had no clue other than what was written. No help- went home- researched and bought from Amazon. When I complained I was told that he was an expert in his field..lol.. what field is that? I came into the store just today in afternoon. I wanted to find computer parts I was looking for to build my own computer. When I looked at a computer part that was on shelf closely I saw bunch of cockroaches. I was immediately disgusted. As I kept looking through other items that I was interested in I saw even MORE cockroaches! This is beyond disgusting. I told a worker that I first saw about the cockroaches, I believe his name was Jason. He just looked at me for a minute straight without saying anything and then he just left without saying a single word. Strangest experience I have ever had in my life in a store. I wont be shopping here again and I do not recommend shopping here either unless you want to risk your house of being infested by cockroaches.

I was able to by a tv in about 10 minutes!! I went in with my measurements, the young man was helpful, explained differences in quality and I said. That one!. Check out great and he helped me line up the geek squad for installation and instruction. 2 day delivery which I was happy about. Check back with me after the squad comes!I JUST TOOK 4 STARS OFF for poor or no delivery. I waited 8 hrs first day,no delivery.went to store next day to be told no deliveries were made that day because no one showed up to do it. Nobody called to tell me that fact. Delivery rescheduled and I waited another 8 hours. Again no delivery. No calls. Went to store next am, no explanation as to why. I cancelled the sale.Talked with store manager, he could not give me a reason. The frustration is that you can not talk on the phone to anyone who can give you updated info. As I said to the manager you sell phones but you dont answer them

Worked here for a short time and even I would not recommend shopping at this store. The management are children and just try to force you into things you dont need. Or that classic Best Buy Credit card. This store also has a cockroach infestation that the management will do nothing about. So enjoy new big screen TV that comes with complimentary cockroachs.

The salesperson talked me into buying the geek squad membership along with my computer. This is a total joke. $200 for nothing! Just tried to make an appointment in store and couldn’t in Albany at all and in-home earliest for 41 days from today and will cost an additional $50. Seriously, this is the worst place to buy a computer. Save yourself the trouble. Nobody answers at the store phone. Really bad! Wish I could give NO STARS.

I was struggling to find an item, and struggled to find staff BRIEFLY. An employee saw my deer in headlights look and quickly offered assistance and spent the next few minutes locating the item for me. Very friendly and funny staff, Im definitely coming back because of this positive experience.

There is not enough staff on the floor. We waited for a VERY long time to get help. I was given the wrong audio cable and will have to go back. The only bright spot was Mike, a manager who actually helped me. If I lived in the Capital District, I wd NEVER shop there. This store staff really does not care for customers. There were others who also waited a very long time.

I understand that neither the chip shortage, nor the employment squeeze, are Best Buys fault, and both of these contributed to my experience.I went in with a specific item in mind, and then spent close to half an hour wandering around the store before I found one of the very small number of very busy employees to help me. The only place people seem to be getting service promptly was at the Apple displays, where I presume margins and/or commissions are high.I had hoped to be able to get a hands-on look at the very expensive monitor I was buying, but there werent any on display, and unboxing and plugging one in did not seem to be an option.As a space, with stuff in it, Best Buy is fine. There isnt much that makes me *want* to go there, though.

This is my local Best Buy and its seen better days I think. The staff (not including those in the cellphone sales department) are usually scarce, and a lot of the shelves are empty or understocked. Its also common to see trash from the Starbucks next door hanging out on random shelves.Its possible this is in relation to COVID however, as I know stock and supply is hitting most of the market right now, so I dont wanna fault them too much there.Ill update this when things settle down. Hopefully the score will be able to be increased!

Lacking customer service, looks like a warehouse, chaotic and disorganized, just like Circuit City when it was coming to the end. Sad story. Worst experience ever. I came to Crossgates Best Buy to pick up my order. Before I left the store I wanted to check the order.While I was doing that, shop assistant Brianne in a very rude way asked me to leave the area. She did not introduce herself, did not explain what I did wrong. All the time she talked to me she showed her attitude and was very rude . She told me if I am not gonna leave she call somebody else.Definitely not a good customer service.Never again.

Bought another T.V! Love this place; havent gone wrong yet. Staff are super helpful and kind. Ive had install service, mounting if a 65 in Samsung in the past and couldnt have been happier with the process start to finish. Installers were respectful of my home and time. Online order/store pickup has been an absolute nightmare. Paid $325 for an item that was slated for pickup today. All day my Account said the item was being “prepared for pickup today” - I was just waiting on the confirmation email. I’ve spent literally, no exaggeration, hours multiple times today using three different phones trying to reach someone, a live person at the Albany store, and no one will answer. The call sits ringing and ringing and ringing.Finally received a text after 6PM tonight that my item is “delayed” and they’re unsure when/if it will be delivered to the store. Clearly their member Accounts aren’t syncing with their shipping server. Why was the delay just now communicated to me?Completely unacceptable “customer service”. Never again will I go through Best Buy for a purchase like this. I can see why the brand is failing - you treat your customers absolutely lousy.

15% restocking fee on camera gear. They advertise 15 day returns under the price. Hide behind the back office so you cant escalate or speak to anyone. 3 times I had to wait 48 hours for a reply, each time, and they were supposed to email me back. Never did. It is easier for them to say no 2nd hand, and they lose all accountability by doing so. Welcome to big business in the 20s. ILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM BESTBUY AGAIN. Too bad, they are the only high-end camera store in the area, and Im in a decent sized city.
