From start to finish, Alex was a stand up guy. I was from a few states away and contacted him about the car. He was up front and told me he had an appointment on the car the following day, so didnt want to waste my time. As I was very interested in the car, I offered him $500 more than his asking price to tell the other appointment it was sold. He responded by saying his word was worth more than money and felt obligated to keep his appointment. As it turned out, he called me after the appointment the following day and reported the other buyer left having to think about it. Alex then commented how good things come to those that wait and I bought the car for list price, which was the best deal I had found to date.He completed the paperwork timely and got it to my credit union, which then cut me a check. I was unable to fly down until the following weekend, but he stuck to his word and even without a check in hand, held onto the vehicle. I flew down and he picked us up at the airport in the vehicle, so we were able to get a good feel for the car both on the interstate and in rush hour traffic. Paperwork was handled and out the door in about 15 mins. No trying to sell me anything else, just a deal done right. The vehicle is a diesel and knowing the I had a 15 hour drive ahead of me, had already filled the tank so I could be on my way.One last thing he did, he showed me that while he was detailing the car earlier in the day, he noticed the lens of one of the fog lights was cracked. Because he hadnt noticed it prior, he ordered a new lens and had it in the vehicle. He apologized for not getting it installed due to time constraints, but didnt feel right about sending the car away with a cracked lens, when that wasnt disclosed in the listing.He and his team are top notch and will keep him in mind in the future!

I would highly reccomend this place if youre interested in purchasing a used car. The atmosphere is very lax in that you dont feel like youre being harrased into purchasing something. We had the pleasure of having Julian assist us throughout the buying process. They are really there to answer any questions you may have and are pretty upfront about anything. My husband and I got a 2003 V8 Toyota 4Runner in June 2020 - the car has been EXCELLENT!!! The team at Diamond was patient (my husband test drove the car three times and had a looooottttt of questions), transparent, and honest. The car has performed exactly as expected - we were told that we should have to replace the timing belt sometime this year so we were able to budget for that. We’ve had zero issues with the 4Runner and are so happy with our purchase and the experience. Will 100% return next time we need a vehicle!!!!

Four years ago, during a particularly rough time, I walked onto the Diamond Auto Sales lot to purchase a modest car to meet my modest needs. The process was quick and easy, the staff super friendly. Its been a great car. But recently, a mechanic at another shop found an unwanted modification. Not sure what to do, I took the car back to Diamond to ask about this, and instead of saying it had been four years and telling me to hit the road, Alex, the proprietor, had his mechanic check out the car, got it smogged for me across the street, washed it inside and out, and returned it to me, showing me what the other mechanic had seen and how it was really okay.ALL FOR NO CHARGE.Alex clearly loves his community and does his best to represent its best face. I will never shop for a used car anywhere else, and strongly recommend that you not as well! Go to Diamond in Alameda: you will not be sorry!

I needed help fixing my minivan so I could donate it to a young mother who needed a car ASAP. Neither one of us had a ton of money to pay for repairs and I knew it was going to be expensive so I reached out into the universe, soliciting someone to come by my house to check out the van and let me know what was wrong with it. Well, Alex reached out to me and told me that he would fix the van for FREE!! Did you hear what I said, I said for FREE!!I just got the minivan back and his team fixed the motor mounts, water pump, brakes, heater, AC, did an oil change, smog, added new mats, cleaned the engine SPOTLESS, gave me a new key fob, detailed the car, etc., etc., etc.!!Alex is a true humanitarian. He is kind-hearted, generous and compassionate. He didnt hesitate to help out a stranger in need. During this tumultuous time, Alex has demonstrated that there is still kindness and love in the world. I am grateful for him. He is truly a Blessing!

Not too happy . Bought a 2005 jeep wrangler with 81k miles drove it 75 miles home only to find out the reax axels and bearings are ready to fall out and there is no front drive shaft in the vehicle at all removed by someone . Hard to believe you can buy a 4x4 from a dealer who has had a mechanic without a drive shaft . Dealers response bring it back we will fix Cant drive it has to be towed to the dealer who sells a 4x4x4x2 I dont think the mechanic did anything but wash it . Not sure what to do but talk to my lender at this point thought I paid a little much, but for a quality vehicle and I was wrong POS . What to do ???

I came down for a test drive on a weeknight and Alex brought out the car. Test drives are solo during Covid, so they make a copy of your license and insurance. Alex spent a considerable amount of time helping me find the right car with a big enough trunk to accommodate a wheelchair. He was super nice, polite and not pushy like one would expect. He then arranged to have the car delivered to my dads house. It was detailed and even had a thank you card. Alexs service was an example of how people should treat one another. I left feeling good, plus he got me a coffee. The price was more than fair and less than what I expected to spend. We are new parents, with an eight-month-old baby, looking for a reliable car. Our experience at Diamond Auto Sales has been exceptional. Julian Jones showed us around the lot and was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. When we came upon on a 2004 Mercedes Benz E320 Wagon, it was in the midst of getting the suspension repaired. We were impressed by the low-mileage and spotless interior. The price was just above blue book, but it was in beautiful condition. We had auto financing set up with our credit union. Julian jumped through all the hoops the bank required and worked patiently with us throughout the process. The truly exceptional part of the experience was when the airmatic suspension system was showing signs of a leak. Diamond Auto Sales replaced the entire suspension system. We also had a list of small repairs that had been recommended by another local repair shop. And while the mechanic at Diamond was fixing the suspension system they also took the time to take care of a few of these small adjustments (just because we had asked) and at no cost to us! We were overjoyed and so grateful. Julian took pride in making sure that we were truly happy with the vehicle.
