This is the 4th time I go during the noted hours and always closed. Even when Im standing right outside, they just act as if Im not even there. Dont waste your time.

My favorite card shop. Owner is honest and not out to scalp everyone who comes through the door like a lot of shops now. Good selection too!

Very poor customer service. I’m vaccinated and didn’t have a mask on me and the lady working rudely turned me away without so much as a sorry. I understand policy, but you can be polite and professional about it.

Quick and friendly service and well stocked local store. Excellent place to pick up your collecting supplies like trading card sleeves too.During the pandemic call or email and you can easily pick up your order during regular business hours.

Called the lady at the store and she had no customer service skills and was rude through what I guess you can call a conversation. Very unfortunate since we got recommended to the store to buy comics for our 7 year old by his teacher… looks like this is a common trend as I read through the reviews.

Interactions with the woman who answers the phone and a recent in person visit to this store was unbelievable. Rude, sarcastic and no customer service skills whatsoever. Disappointing for my child who did not feel welcome anyway. Don’t give them your business. They don’t deserve it.

Super place to get all your superhero needs satisfied. Owner is by night a mild mannered graphic novel devotee but by day she turns into The Comic Queen, capable of recalling obscure series and issues with a single hint. Also great at ordering and she is amazingly kind to young shoppers. A great day can be had here, at the pinball museum across the street and at Cafe Jolie or Nemos for Brunch.

Easy to see right off of Webster Street servicing Alameda and the adjoining areas of California. Parking on the Street is available but it fills up fast especially at night and on the weekends. Moderately clean facilities. Reasonably priced. Credit cards accepted. Give it a try and you decide.

Friendly, didnt have what i was looking for but there was plenty of interesting stuff other than sports cards. Cool store, check it out even if not into sports cards.

I previously rated it 5-stars until a recent experience, and I see Im not the only one unhappy. I dont get why there are boxes of comics on display that customers arent allowed to look through, and their reasoning is they are not priced like the comics openly shelved. Then dont put those boxes of comics out in the open.Any customers reading this, go to other comic stores in the Bay Area. Chris Comics in Fremont gives better customer service. The first time I was there, he (the store owner) offered to find back-issues and even order them if I had specific requests.Some people in Alameda have their noses in the air and other people have noticed as well. The Peninsula and South Bay are more posh and I havent had negative experiences yet.

Very cool owner, also has a lot of comics, if youre into that.

Nice store, friendly staff. I went in for free comic book day, and while the line was long, the employees tried to keep it moving and keep people in line entertained with trivia and freebies. Not as wide a selection as Cape and Cowl but still fun. Parking is tricky though, so make sure you leave time/patience for that

Great local shop and the owner always helps me find what I need. She has great recommendations and hosts some cool events.

Great selection of comics, cards and miscellaneous collectables and gifts (manga, posters, statuettes/figures, shirts, etc.). Definitely worth stopping by - the shopkeeper is friendly and knowledgeable...and free cookies are a bonus!

The shop owner is so rude and unpleasant, that Ive refused to return. She acts like your very presence in her comic kingdom is a huge inconvenience to her. I just go to Dr Comics and Mr Games where they know me by name and are kind and professional. Dont waste your time with this scalliwag.

I was chastised for trying to look through the many long boxes they have under their table of back issues. The clerk did not offer to help me, lectured me about organization, spoke poorly of my decision to try to look through the long box, and said nothing as I left.
