Not a bad place. My wife enjoys going in here and I stay in the parking lot. Nice tress and landscape to look at while I wait.

This location has plenty (I counted five + one manager) of employees standing front and center, waiting on customers to walk through Ultas front doors so they can descend upon them, selling them the best cosmetics, hair and skincare products, tools, etc to make them even more beautiful. The manager is very nice and helpful as well. The store is well stocked and clean with a nice vibe. I found the Bare Minerals items I needed and everyone was super helpful!

Theyre very high priced for the average consumer. I couldnt see why anyone would pay that price for somethings when Walmart carries most of it at a much lower price. They di have things that you cant find elsewhere unless you go on line. Then you have to pay shipping. I dont wear a lot of make up, therefore Im not really the person that you should ask for advice at this type of business

Very helpful for a first timer. Staff helped me find makeup that was suited for my skin and budget with nothing but respect for my concerns. Even witnessed them replace a product that shattered for another customer as she was walking out the door with purchase with respect and dignity (pretty sure it was customers accident). Whole business was very clean, organized and easy to navigate. Also took advantage of rewards program and cant wait to go back to expand my collection further.

Since they have the new management the store has really turned around. Customer Service is much better and the manager is really kind and helpful. Items also stay stocked more frequently.

I entered the store thinking one of three Sales reps on the floor would at least say good morning but none of them after looking right at me said anything. It took the Salon rep who saw me and ask if I needed any help. I was so impressed with her that I immediately told her supervisor which was the Salon Manager this young lady knew the true meaning of customer service. Hats off to the Salon at the Alabaster Ultra Beauty. I hope this rubs off on the three Sales Floor reps who are apparently there for just a paycheck.

Went in looking for a nice set for my daughter. She has some skin sensitivities which makes it a bit harder . I had a few questions which were easily answered by a super sweet young lady who worked there. She helped us not only find good products but also helped us search for just the right colors. At check out the young man was very night making sure we had everything we might need to completely the newly assembled set. Without question I will be returning and bringing my daughter to expand her make up collection.

I had a cut/style for the first time here - Chhabria is THE BEST! I have never been so happy with a cut the day after as I was this morning. She listened, took her time and is just so pleasant and sweet. I have fine, thin hair and now have great volume & bounce!

Extremely rude staff. Rushed us out of the store and did not even give us a chance to look around. Would have been fine if they were not so incredibly rude about wanting not only us but everyone to leave. Just because it’s closing doesn’t mean that they have to be extremely rude to you.

If I could give negative stars, I would. I have been to several ulta salons in the past, absolutely great experiences. Hands down some of the best haircuts I have ever had. Today, I had to come to this ulta for my haircut. Worst mistake. I did not receive the hair cut I had asked for by no means. She cut wayyyyy too much length off and layered my hair in places that has not been layered in over 10 years. My hair is uneven in the back and extremely choppy. Beyond frustrated is an understatement. Currently on hold with customer service to see how they will fix this....

Salon Manager Lakita oversees a staff that is attentive, competent, and professional. The high-end service is well worth the high-end prices.

This is the first Ulta that I have shopped that had great, attentive customer service. The store had plenty of staff on duty to help answer any questions and make knowledgeable suggestions. I will definitely shop here again.

Won’t be back. I had several things ready to buy but due to very rude employees I put everything back on the shelves and Ulta lost my business today and from here on out.

If I could have given zero stars, I would have. Do NOT go in this Ulta. I usually love this store and have spent a lot of money there but I have never been more insulted in my life. The employees at this particular store are awful. They were incredibly rude and I guess they thought I was a shoplifter or something because they followed me around the entire store. I have never stolen anything in my life and I did not give off any signs that I was trying to steal at all. I was just walking around looking at different things. But they didnt even try to hid what they were doing. Literally followed me everywhere I went. It was ridiculous. I have NEVER been treated like that. So my advice, dont go in this Ulta... unless you want to be made to feel like a criminal. They were so rude. Unbelievably so. I will never again go in that store. They should be ashamed. I did NOTHING wrong. I was planning on buying a few things that I needed, but they wont be seeing a dime of my money.. take the few extra minutes and drive to the Birmingham location. Just my suggestion. Or better yet, go to Sephora. At least there, the employees are kind and respectful. SO DISAPPOINTED!!!!

What a pleasure to find this place i will be back again again

Ive been a faithful customer to Ulta in regards to make up, but there Salon is awful. They have fried/melted/overprosseced my hair A simple apology and refund would be nice. Ive contacted corporate and they were super friendly. And understood my concern and said I should be getting a refund. If for some reason I dont I will take it to small claims court because this is unacceptable they knew I was not satisfied before I left and didnt try to make things right. They couldnt brush through it or dry it because of its condition and let me leave like that!

The worst hair cut I have ever gotten in my life. I literally went home and cried. I payed $40 for a TRIM and some how got 3 inches chopped off in random places. I didnt complain because she is a sweet girl and I dont want her to lose her job. Just dont go here to get your hair cut. I gave an extra star because they have an excellent variety of beauty products. Thats about it. Cashiers are nice... most of the time.

Employees were very friendly. Store was clean and well stocked for the sale. Had my brows done for the first time here and Erin was a pleasure explaining each procedure as she went along.

Terrible service. Every time I go in there, the ladies rush to get me out. Most of the employees I’ve seen have a constant attitude and hurry us out at checkout. One time, my friend and I went in there to look for a certain product and the supervisor was constantly following us around discreetly. Gross and unprofessional.

This ultra is horrible! I visited this alabaster location 3 times. First two times I didn’t buy anything and I felt like I was being watched. It’s so frustrating, I don’t have to steal anything! The third time I went back without my purse ,because I wanted to shop in peace ! No one asked if I needed help or spoke to me.

I have always enjoyed my shopping experience at the Ulta in alabaster. I will say ,today topped my experience there. I was in need of a make over. Erin mahaffey was the Ulta associate that helped make that happen. She helped me find the best makeup (coverage and color), also helped walk me thru the steps to get the look. I will definitely be back for more direction on any beauty care I may want in the future.

I love this store! I went in with my daughter and niece. We all found what we wanted and went to the checkout . The cashier was awesome. Haliegh made sure we all got our rewards points and was very nice.

The staff is diverse in being friendly.. some are super nice while others leave a lot to be desired. May be it was a bad day? As for my hair? I had to go back for a redo because the first visit resulted in a horrible turn out. At the end of the day most of my hair went from thick and gorgeous to losing most of my hair due to over processing chemicals.

A woman who I think was the supervisor was following my friend and I around the store and making us feel like we were being watched. It seemed like she thought we were going to shoplift. She talked to us and was EXTREMELY rude. We will not be back. Ever.

I had never been to the store until yesterday. I wont be back. The lady at the register was a idiot. She wanted my phone # to ring my purchases up. I told her I didnt want to give it out and she said no problem but if you need to return anything we wont be able to help you, ummm really? I said if I need to I will keep the receipt.. She replied well you might get store credit with that. I thought are you kidding me? Spent 120.00 got home and one of the items is used! This was a awful store!

I absolutely love the convenient location and the wide selection of products, and the staff are friendly. However, I had my hair cut at their salon by the salon manager not long after it opened and I absolutely hated the cut, it was not at all what I wanted, and I hated the way she styled it. It didnt look anything like the picture I brought in. For the price I paid I feel I should have gotten a much better cut, it was terribly disappointing. I do shop here frequently for beauty products, but I will never get my hair done at the salon again.

Too expensive. Service lacked alot, I worked in retail and I always put my customer first. Not one employee ask if they help.

Every time I go to this Ulta I never receive quality service. Never greeted. Never asked if I need help looking for anything. Most times I make an excuse for them and say that they are busy but, tonight not the case. At the cash wrap and purchasing a product in which a brand representative will be there on tomorrow but never asked if I would like to be added to the list. The only reason I know the representative is coming is because the prior TWO customers before me were asked if they would like to come. Needless to say last time visiting an Ulta!

My first time visiting this location. We were assiated, however rhe staff was not welcoming. They all seemed ready to go. I prefer the Hoover location!

Everytime I visit the Alabaster location everyone is very friendly and helpful. Ulta is such an exciting place to shop you cant lose.

Do not go here. My girlfriend went for a cut conditioning and highlights. The cut was so far from anything she described it was like they never cut hair before. The conditioning wasnt left in long enough to even be effective. Lastly the highlights were put in such a way her hair looked like a bowl. So at the end of all that she is crying and Im pissed. They refused to take off more than 15percent. I dont recommend you take anyone there.

The Alabaster Ulta is the worst Ulta I have ever been to. The managers didnt know anything about the products in the store and could not help me with my questions I had about the high end makeup. It is clearly not as well run as the other Ulta stores in the district. Maybe a change of management is needed. Also, I walked around for 20 minutes before anyone even offered to help me because they were too busy talking amongst themselves. I will be taking my business to Sephora from now on.

Ive been to Ulta in Alabaster approximately 4 times consecutively over the last 6 months. This last visit will be my last experience with them . I was charged $45.00 for a trim only (no style, no shampoo). When I question the charge I was told by management that I apparently had never been to a high end salon before (please read line one again). Do I have to spend $45.00 to $100.00 everytime I go there? I am not able to get a quick trim in between working 3 jobs without being overcharged? Forty-five dollars for a trim only is, in my opinion, a rip off. And this extra $10.00 charge to have your hair flat ironed when it used to be a part of the shampoo and style, why do we support such greedery? You can make the head honchos rich if you want to with this nonsense but I will not be back!

This review is for the salon only!......so upset over my haircut such an emotional time!!! My hair has litreally been chopped off ....right side is shorter and totally miss cut. I specifically said Im trying to let it grow out and wanted to keep the sides longer. I went back a couple of days later all she said basically was to take Biotin and she would make a note on my file!UNACCEPTABLE.I called and spoke with manager of salon said they would give me 20%off my next visit as if I would go back. She dhould have asked for me to come in so she could evaluate it being the manager.I hope the owner/owners of ulta will take noteUNACCEPTABLE

SAVED MY HAIR! Let me start by saying that a few days ago, I went to a DIFFERENT salon(not sure if Im allowed to name names, but it was @JC PENNY salon, in Alabaster) anyways, to get a Long Bob and Blonde Baylayage color. WELL, after 5HRS of horror, needless to say, I ended up with THE WORST COLOR AND CUT OF MY LIFE!(@JC PENNY) SO, luckily I came into Ulta, distraught, and looking a hot mess, when I was greeted by the lovely, gracious and KIND stylist JENNIFER! AND OH MY GOSH, SHE PERFORMED AN ABSOLUTE MIRACLE ON MY HAIR! I MEAN TRULY! She was so kind and patient, willing to listen to me ramble on about my previous horrible experience @JCP salon, WHILE saving my poor hair in the process!!!! If I cud post the pics I wud, she TRULY worked a miracle somehow! I TOTALLY recommend her and this salon as it was, in my opinion, worth every penny! Thank u to Jennifer and the lovely staff @Ulta for helping me out of this awful crisis! Because THAT is/was what I believe to be PRICELESS!!!

Absolute trash.....I asked for help and they asked me to give them a second so I patiently waited which took longer than expected so I asked another employee if they had something in the back and they said they would go check and that took a good 15 minutes and I looked around and there wasn’t an employee in sight so I just left
