This store is a fantastic homegrown hidden gem, much like the beautiful city it resides in. I was highly satisfied with the product quality and selection, but most of all of the atmosphere and incredible customer service. Their willingness to help and the attention to detail employees here exhibited is bar none making this in my opinion, the best place in the area to purchase mens formal, dress, and business casual attire.

These guys didnt want to sell me 5 suits. The suit in the pic was 500. I wanted 5. They told me thats fine, the others will be 800. No bargaining. No wiggle...no sale. Showroom for the internet. Nice guys, though. I have bought here and probably will again at some point. Need to work on that bargaining and sales technique, for sure.

I’ve been buying suits from Smitty for 30 yrs. Not only is Smitty a genius Clothier, he’s a wonderful person to know as a friend. I was looking through my suits this morning. I have a dozen or more Lionel Smith suits , some over 25 years old, that still look as fashionable today, as then. Also, I have Smitty casual ensembles he suggested from 25 years ago, that I often wear. I’m seeing Smitty soon to freshen my wardrobe. Yes, I’ve gone for a less expensive suit a time or two over my career, only to throw them away after three or four years. If any man needs a great suit at a fair price or casual clothing that stands out, go to Lionel Smith, Limited only to fine clothing. Did I mention those Smitty ties? To be specific, Marne Clark helps me often, and handled my wedding attire, from tie, cuff links, shoes, shirts, and suits. Recently had an incredible buying experience at Lionel Smith while I was in Aiken visiting some family. I just happened to walk by and notice the men’s attire in the window which caught my eye. I went in just looking and walked out with a beautiful rare color sport coat that I purchased through Marne, one of the stores reps. Marne was patient and attentive throughout My time spent in the store. I’m looking forward to my next trip to Aiken to visit Lionel Smith and work with Marne again!

This is service the way it was meant to be. Craig, Danny, Van and the entire staff are high energy with big smiles. Carry great brands with a great selection. The front door is always open and someone is always on the floor to greet you. They are just so polite and helpful, not sure why you wouldnt buy from them. So glad we have them in Aiken.

Lionel Smiths is my favorite place to shop for my husband and to get both of our On tennis shoes.

Its always a destination of mine in Aiken when I come into town. The guys that work there are fun and knowledgeable. The clothes are nice and the prices are the same as is to be expected unless you catch one of their awesome sales. All of the men in my extended family have had clothes from Smittys. Anyone who says you can find Barbour and Peter Millar in the mall is a moron.

Ive always felt valued as a person and client since about 1994, not as a mere customer. That is, the employees take time to get to know me and my tastes and advise accordingly, never making me feel rushed or pressured to buy. This is a rare boutique-type shop where I feel at ease enough just to drop by for a chat when Im in the neighborhood.
