I was referred to Akamai Hearing by a good friend and I am so glad I went. Upon entering Sandy greeted me and helped me get set up. She is so friendly and easy-going which makes for a wonderful first impression. I was further impressed with Dr. Darryl Minami who instantly made me feel comfortable. I went to Akamai Hearing to have my hearing aid cleaned after more than two years which I had misplaced. They have not changed. They are still friendly as usual and made me feel very comfortable like it’s home. I am very pleased.

Great experience & very professional. I see Darryl regularly. I had a horrible experience with a Dr before ,as he hurted mewhile cleaning my ears. When first started seeing Darrell , I was nervous due to the previous experience, however after my first visit, I was impressed with his professionalism, care & knowledge & how he took care of my hearing needs. 3/26/2019Follow up to my first review:This was our 2nd follow up visit to Akamai HearingWe we ordered and tried the hearing aids for my mom, but this did not work out for her due to her early stages of dementia, we had a hard time getting her to wear the hearing aids. And she also continued to complained of itching in her ears.After 2 weeks we had our 2nd follow up, and she decided she didn’t want to wear them even after Darryl offered an in-ear hearing aid. But in the end she decided not to keep it.Darryl and Sandi have been so helpful and accommodating through all of this trial and error period.We returned the hearing aids, which was still in the 45 day trial period with no problemThank you Darryl and Sandi for being so courteousand helpful during this process.Definately would recommend to our friends and familyA++++3/5/2019:Took my mom to get her hearing checked, wait was short, the staff Darryl and Sandi were very professional and cordial.They both made us feel comfortable.Mom ended up getting hearing aids after getting tested.
