Rick Jr has been our go to guy for many years regarding all flooring. He is so pleasant to work with. Very knowledgeable and a perfectionist when it comes to floors. I depend on his recommendations. Once his crew are over, he checks their work regularly and is always available for any questions. He does very high quality work. Simply the best!

Nightmare experience! Knowing that moving and renovating is stressful, we started our searching months ahead of time to find a flooring place that could recover our new staircase. Dan helped us out. He came out to measure. Seemed kind. A little wishy washy but had faith. He had to send the owner out as well which was strange on another occasion to measure to get it just right. We found a carpet we loved and placed our order with much time. They knew our time frame. We were under remodeling renovations and had to prep the stairs ourselves for the new carpet so that our painters could paint the wall near the stairs properly. They wouldnt help us out with it. We set up a day/time a couple days after our move to have the install because we have children and the stairs had plastic over them to cover exposed nails in prep for their work. A day before our move Dan called me to tell us that his installer was out and not able to make it and didnt know when he would be back. I explained how important it was to get these stairs covered for safety reasons. On our move in day the owner came out with another one of his installers to see if he can do the job. The installer was so rude. When I asked how long it would take he replied, As long as no one gets in my way, a couple days. We were told a half day originally! I asked the owner why all of the info we were told had changed and I questioned how his employee could talk to me the way he was. I didnt want unkindness in our new home. The owner acted like he had no idea of what was going on and had a panic attack in our new entry way. He told me that I was causing stress for his employee Dan who had helped us prior. He also would not refund the $ for the carpet. I had them drop it off and we used another contractor to help us who was respectful and kind and installed it in half a day. It looks great! I cant believe this store does proper business with anyone. They are passive aggressive, and limited professionally and as people. I would NEVER use them.

They were very informative about wood flooring choices. They didnt try to oversell us. They gave us the pros and cons on the various products. We felt that they were extremely patient, their pricing is reasonable and that enabled us to make a sensible, informed selection for our home. Very satisfied with the experience. We would definitely return.

OutstandingWe went to the big box do it yourself store in Newbury Park and boy was that a mistake. Yes the flooring price was cheaper, same as the labor of all the quotes we got but guess what? The big box boys walked of the job as my floor needed to be leveled more that 1/4 inch. Yes a 1/4 of an inch.We went to Leader Flooring and met Dan.Wow. First of all Dan took the time to talk about all of the flooring options that we could install, pricing and labor. He did not steer us to the most expensive, or what they were trying to move(I dont think they do that here) but rather he was our guide as we shopped. We settled on what we wanted and set up the install date.We were upfront and shared that Home Depot walked of the job due to an uneven floor. Dan said, lets go take a look. We pulled back the flooring, he measured the drops and was very honest: Yes we need to level this a bit but thats part of the job. Dan shared that cost would run extra, we said we wanted it done right. Dan said he would get it done. (We were so nervous, how much extra 1,000, 1500? Well it was $225 extra. We were so happy)At the end of he day we have beautiful flooring in our home and Leader Flooring is the reason.Customer for life. Thanks Dan

I have to agree with Christis 1 star review.Ricky is shysty I know how shiest contractors can me. Once they get there money, they dont want to be liable for anything. In addition, NO contractor is allowed to charge you more that 10% or 1,000 dollars whichever is less no matter the amount of the jobs total upfront to start, a payment plan with progression of the job needs to be clearly stated with a payment plan.MEGood afternoon Jimmy,I would so appreciate if you would email back on the same email stream that was created so things dont get lost in translation.I didnt ask for half &^* answers (most of them do this because they think your stupid). I asked them to answer the questions directly. My questions, with their answersDo you have a proper business license liability policy in place? YesHave you ever had a claim filed against the companys name now or any used in the past? Not to the best of our knowledge, but you can definitely reference the CSLB website. If so, for what?Do you use subcontractors to install the flooring? Our installers are in-house. Will the individual doing this job be licensed? YesIs your company a part of the national wood flooring association? Previously a member, have not renewed.Do you have any other certifications? The company has 50+ years of product knowledge and on-site installation. What industry and technical training have you and the installers received? The company has 50+ years of product knowledge and on-site installation. I personally have 40+ certifications in various product categories and sub-categories.Warranty materials and workman ship? Manufacturer warranty for material will be emailed with contract to buyer. The installation is warrantied for 1 year through our company.Do you offer customer care for life (are you qualified to maintain the floors beyond installation)? We are always here for guidance, but we are not the manufacturer. We will, however, provide product care guidelines. Floor care is for the buyer/resident to perform regularly in order to maintain manufacturer warranty on product. How long is the job going to take and when will you start? Acclimation is required with solid hardwood flooring, the moisture content equilibrium needs to be within 3% of subfloor and hardwood. The installation time frame will be approximately 1 week. Approximately 4-6 weeks overall, relative to moisture content equilibrium reaching 3%.How are you going to protect the existing flooring and house from dust and dirt? The installers can use ram board in the working areas.Who cleans up after the project is done? The installers will clean up the areas in which they performed installation. In the end, Rick is super shady. He wanted to order new samples because he said the samples in the showroom may not have been the same color due to light exposer over the last 25yrs. You mean to tell me that those samples have been sitting in your showroom for that long??? Rick also didnt want to put the warranty on the contract. There warranty says workmanship, 20 days. He told me in the email above 1yr. He also said that the solid hard wood had its own warranty. It had to be kept at a certain temperature in order for the warranty not to void. I asked how we document or keep track of this because the house is located near the beach and the moisture changes frequently. He didnt have an answer. This guy sells floor, thats it. The contract protects them against anything they do wrong. Once you pay and sign, you have 3 days by law, then your screwed.DO NOT USE THIS COMANY FOR ANY OF YOUR FLOORING. I WILL DEFINATLY SPREAD THE WORD.

Poor product, does not stand behind quality claims! The process with Leader started off wonderful, I really enjoyed working with Pam, and Rick was so kind to make our home a priority, bc we bought a house in Agoura that the previous residents allowed their animals to really destroy the carpet, so bad we wouldnt move in until the carpet was replaced. I shared with LEADER that we had 2 very young children and a dog and we wanted something that looked good, but was durable and easy to clean bc no doubt there were spills in our future with a 1 and 2 year old. We were advised on carpet that supposedly fit our needs and we bought it, $4500, not an absurd amount of money but enough that you would expect a quality product. Less than 30 days into the carpet install, milk was spilled on the the carpet, I followed the directions they provided perfectly and the carpet became discolored where the milk was spilled. I called LEADER and although i cant compliment the speed to which they got back to me they did get back to me and told me to get it professionally cleaned, i googled it and it said to be careful about professionally cleaning bc wool carpet can loose its texture, thankfully i didnt just take their advice... i called again, bc now 45 days in my son spilled baby shampoo (not much just a small amount) and that too left a mark... Larry was sympathetic but at first did nothing...I called again and said i was very specific i needed carpet that could be cleaned, as this was probably the first of many spills that will hit this carpet. I finally got him to send someone to the house, who did they send a rep for the manufaturerer, who sympathized with me the entire time he was here... telling me that this carpet should never have been recommended by LEADER. He thought the carpet had been in place for years due to the condition, when i told him at that time it was only a couple of months he was shocked and while he did defend the manufacturer he said he was concerned about the cleaning solution, they (LEADER) not only advised me to use, but GAVE me when we purchased the carpet (a later claim that Leader says the rep recanted, who knows)... either way when you buy carpet you expect it will have a few spills, especially with kids, and you expect to be able to clean it...the carpet is just TERRIBLE, there is no cleaning it... if anything outside of water touches it, it leaves a spot. Ive had multiple people look at it and the concensus is the same, this was a really bad recommendation from LEADER, and even worse was the customer service. This was our first home buy, we have learned our lesson, I thought the family owned business could be trusted and would have our best interest at heart, bc thats what I would do in my business, but unfortunately that was not the case, and we now have to replace our carpet less than 6 months after their install! Needless to say we are not using LEADER.
