Came in for tires. Made my appointment online first. Fast and friendly service. They are very busy so make sure to call or schedule online. Tj was great, and the techs did a great job. This is the only place I get tires from, and will continue to be.

The gentlemen at the counter , after I showed him an ad for a complete set of tires for 150 dollars , informed me he didnt know which tires the ad was referring too. But he was sure it wasnt the size I needed. Before checking. He definitely had an attitude I didnt care for.

Went in recently because my tire had a screw and was leaking. I asked them to please plug it. They told me theyd take a look. He came back a few minutes later and told me it couldnt be patched. I knew that and asked for a plug. At this pount he toldd me they did not plug nd my tire was flat and my only chouce was to buy a new tire. When I got home the expensive Cadillac hub was missing. I went back the next day and they said it was broken but they put it on anyway and I must have lost it on the way home. I will not return.

Had a screw in a brand new car, as in drive it off the lot yesterday new. Called and they were the only ones that stayed open until 8pm.Came in and within 20 mins was in and out.To my surprise, there was no charge for the plug they put in.Not only was this a nice surprise, but the two men that helped me where gracious, knowledgeable, and were VERY time conscious.If I could rate 10 starts, I most certainly would!!

This review is for touching a Porsche when you should not. Just send Porsche owners to the dealership instead of wasting their money. Those tires could have not been run flats. Air seeped from one tire after another every single day. Y’all knew that wasn’t right just greedy for business.

Something is just off about this place, as soon as you walk in it’s just this vibe of lack of interest in earning my business. On Cobb Pkwy alone they’re plenty of places to take my vehicle to get serviced and out of location I chose this location, which was a mistake. First off I have a number of fleet vehicles that require routine maintenance which would offer this location plenty of business but decided not to. Made an appointment online for the following day, I walk in, wasn’t greeted at all just simply asked, “you have an appointment?” Yes “you got the keys?” Yes “sounds good we will get you when it’s done” sat in the waiting room for over an hour and half with literally NO ONE ELSE, only 2 cars in the bay. After about an hour and half I finally asked what’s going on, I was here for an oil change and tire rotation. The service reply’s with, “oh we’re waiting on an air filter to get here from the parts store and we will be good to go” not once did anyone ask if I wanted to proceed with changing my air filter but just assumed I wanted to change it. So I sit here waiting on the air filter to “arrive from the parts store” I look through the service window and find 2 technicians jaw jacking back and forth while one plays on his phone and the other vaping non stop. At this point the service rep goes out to join them wanting to get in on the fun. Mind you I am on my lunch break which I only have an hour for lunch. Finally 2 hours and 23 minutes later I get my car back after an oil change was completed, tires rotated, and an air filter change to find grease all over my steering wheel, my seat position changed, and floor mat kicked all around. I would not recommend this place to anyone. With service like this I won’t have to worry about this as they won’t be here long.

They cheat me and took my money for nothing..... he told me my car needs to change the rear breaks pads.... he charged me $173.00 while i found it on Amazon for $25 for 4 pads.He told me that i will not found a lower price that this anywhere else.....Absolutely they are fraudulent peopleif you need to save your money stay away from this place

Nicest people if dealt with in a long time for car repairs. I got an emergency flat right at 6pm (closing time) and TJ stayed open for us so that we could get my flat plugged - it was seriously so kind. I would recommend this location to anyone based on my experience and how kindly I was treated tonight!

I had my tires replaced and had no problems. I made the tire purchase online along with scheduling the install date and time. Buying the tires on their website saved me about $70 over buying them in the store. The store,when talking to them directly, didnt offer or mention the 10% discount that was on the website. When I arrived for my appointment they had the information and started on the vehicle quickly. It took about 1 1/2 hours for them to complete the install.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS -- THIS IS A MUST READ REVIEW; I arrived about 20 minutes before COB (this was the place with the only mechanic still open anywhere) with a flat tire in the middle of my 6 hour trip home so I could visit my family for a weekend. The manager (who was a very heavy African American man) did not allow the mechanic the chance the fix the tire, made excuses on behalf of the mechanic, and did not even allow me to even speak to the mechanic about the possibility of purchasing a new tire, despite still being open. I even offered to pay $20 extra dollars to be served (again, they were still OPEN) and he continued to make excuses of why it was too late to serve me as he screwed off not doing any work. I explained the entire situation to him about how I was in the middle of a long trip and had nowhere to stay and was not at all familiar with the area, but he did not care. I was told just use your spare tire even though I said that was not a viable option as mine was already fairly worn, and I had over 300 miles left on my trip. Did you know most spare tires are not meant to be driven over 70 miles? I surely wouldve had a blowout with this advice which could have killed me and others on the road had I not known myself this was bogus advice to just get rid of me. He does not at all in the slightest represent somebody of good character or that cares anything about the customer, and couldve killed me with bad advice had I not known. If management of this Pep Boys is reading this review, you MUST fire this manager, or I will continue to elevate my complaint with this business with the BBB as well as the FTC. What happened is NOT okay. Is this really the person you want to trust with your car, if I cant even trust him for advice that will keep me from potentially dying in a car crash?(Please note this review is targeted toward the fatal flaw of this Pep Boys: the manager that I described. Pep Boys in Reiverdale treated me way more excellently on Wednesday even though they had backload of jobs and had few staffs on duty. I even asked for some other workshop but they talked me into waiting.This shop told me to go to a different competitor.Wow. Kauffman worked on my tires under 45 minutes. Really do love them. I took my fiancé car in Saturday for brake replacement. Turns out she didn’t really need new brakes after being told by the dealership she needed them. They could of easily put new brakes on it and made the sale. But instead they were honest with me and made some adjustments to the brakes and we on our way! That kind customer service speaks volumes to what kind of company this is! They have for sure earned my business and I’ll be bringing all my vehicles to this location for service! Great job

They put a starter on my car last year and it went bad within 3 months, they replaced it and the second one went back within another couple months. I’m on my third starter from them. And only because they replaced it under warranty, otherwise I would have gone somewhere else by now! Recently my friend got his battery replaced by them and it lasted two weeks! His car broke down after two weeks. They are frauds! They put the cheapest products that probably aren’t even new in cars, just from my own experience. Terrible quality service

TJ went above and beyond to give excellent customer service. I work in the business in the dealer and I was very surprised when I went to their facility with how fast, professional and friendly they were.

These guys are fantastic. I had an accident on 75, going 70 mph. When I went to them directly after, Chris went out to my car off the clock, and took a look. He told me exactly what to do, who to go to, and told me what exactly looked broken and set up an appointment on the spot. When I came in for repairs there they were very reasonable in their estimate for damages, and took me out to show me exactly what needed repairs, which was incredibly helpful. Ended up working on my car well beyond close, and made sure I was good, even ordering a free lyft to and from my home. Mike was really helpful as well. The best mechanics I have been to.

I absolutely love my Acworth Pep Boys. I have been taking my car to this location for approximately five years. Whenever I walk through the doors, Im always greeted by name and with a smile. Since my vehicle was in need of an oil change, this morning, I decided to stop by the service center to see whether they could fit me in. Upon my arrival, I was immediately greeted by Perry, one of my favorite employees. He told me he saw me pulling up and wanted to meet me as I entered the doors....which explains why he is one of my favorites. :-)The friendliness, high level of professionalism, and courteous customer service provided by Perry is always, always, always consistent. Taking forever! 2 1/2 hours and counting. I made an appointment online for 3pm. Arrived at 2:55 and I am still waiting in the “lounge” at 5:30. I will never come back. I advise you to find a better run business, unless you want to spend your entire day waiting in their dumpy “lounge”. Rediculus.

Our tire blew out a hundred miles from home on a Sunday evening, and Lyric and Brandon stayed later than they needed to in order to make sure we got a new tire that could safely get us home. Went there to get a simple emissions test, to which they told me they couldnt pass me for the bad gas cap. they gave me the test results and told me to come back in 100 miles, and gave me a new cap for 30 dollars. I asked to keep the old cap. Im a technician myself, even then the results are easy to read for anyone, and it said in black and white that my cap passed. so to see if they were lying, I put the same original gas cap on, and came back 2 days later (roughly 21 miles total) and wouldnt you know, It passed this time. I work at a tire shop and I hear from customers every week that this place will steal your money and lie to your face. Ive even spoken to a past employee that quit because of their dishonesty.

This has been a long time coming.Went in to get a new battery because mine decided to just stop charging. Employee encouraged me to get their credit card, so I did. He told me that I wouldn’t have to make any payments for six months (as a student that’s really nice). Turns out he told me wrong. In actuality the deal was I wouldn’t be charged interest if I paid it off within six months. So a few months later I start getting collection calls saying I’m past due on a delinquent account (I also wasn’t receiving statements). Come to find out I had been missing payments for four months with Pep Boy’s bank because the employee got his information wrong. Synchrony also wouldn’t remove any of the late fees. What was a $180 battery has turned into a $489 (plus all of the new interest) nightmare. Not to mention the apocalyptic damage to my credit score. Pep Boys has forever lost my business.

I took my car to them last October and I had to take my car in for different problem elsewhere well they just called me ask when was the last time the fuel and air filter was changed that it looks like its never been changed!!!! I also noticed pep boys didnt add washer fluid to my car. So I paid for services that wasnt even rendered!!! My car was the only car there as well and it took 2 plus hours for them to do absolutely NOTHING!

So I leave my work truck with pep boys for 3 days. Tell them what I need, tires checked/patched, charging system check, brake check, oil change, easy stuff. It takes them until the middle of the last day to finally start working on it. (They werent busy, I visited every day to get an update) finally when I come to pick it up at 4:00 they still havent finished the work and have lost my keys so I cant even take it home. I had to leave, so I told them to call me when they find the keys. They finally call me to tell me they found them and I specifically instructed them to leave it on top of the spare tire and Ill pick it up. I get there at 11:00 and the keys are nowhere to be found. Now Im stuck waiting for them to open when I should be heading to my own job to get started for the day.I know you dont need a diploma or a degree to change oil and mount tires. But how dumb do you have to be to work at that pep boys. Not only have they messed up every opportunity they could, they have a horrible history behind it.

Best experience I’ve had getting my car serviced, they didn’t try to hustle me into buying extra unnecessary parts (especially bc I’m a teenage girl & most places take advantage) and gave me great prices! They always have coupons available which is awesome! The workers were extremely helpful and worked hard to fit me in on a busy day! After having so many bad experiences w auto shops, it was very relieving to have this visit at pep boys!

I had a flat 75N in Acworth. I did NOT have a spare for my truck roadside service towed my truck to this location. I contacted them the next morning first thing and spoke with Chris in Service Dept. Great guy very knowledgeable... professional... he made suggestions and offered me additional savings for a complete set of tires and alignment.. If u need tires and expect good service contact Chris at this location you want be disappointed...

Avoid Pep Boys nothing but a scam they wanted to charge me over $4,200 in repairs where 3/4 of them werent needed. Ac compressor part and labor $1200 cost of compressor $280 labor $1000 for 2 hrs max yeah right next i had a power steering leak they said i needed to replace pump, high vent hose, and rack and pin. Plus labor $3000 which only thing needed was rack and pinion changed i went to a Hispanic shop where total was $725 and one year later i havent had an issue so this place is a rip off that only wants our money.

At 7pm last night I blew out my landscaping trailer tire. They had my size tire and rim in stock. I was in and out in less than 10 mins. Very helpful and extremely friendly late at night when they are nearing closing time. I didnt feel rushed at all. They took the time to listen and got me exactly what I needed. 5 stars!

Stopped by on January 16th to se about having a diagnosis ran on my car with a check engine light on, as I entered the store 2 service techs were at the desk both on their phones and while I was asking questions neither one of them looked up from their phones. I wont be going back if thats the kind of customer service that is given.

Ive been in Acworth for a week and my radiator sprung a leak the day before I needed to go back to the Florida panhandle. Id unfortunately already spent a great deal of money on my car before the trip and being close to the holidays it looked like I was going to be in financial misery. The assistant service manager Chris was able to get my car in and the radiator replaced for a wonderfully reasonable price and with no appointment. He saved the day. Saturday evening our car overheated. This was the only place open on Sunday. Turns out they only do oil changes and tires on Sunday. They assured my husband they had the parts needed, and he should bring the car back first thing Monday.At 9 am Monday he dropped the car off. He was told they make need to keep it overnight to replace the thermostat. Its currently Tuesday at 445 pm and they STILL havent even started the repair. They called at 4 and told him they would need to keep it another night.How long does it take to replace a thermostat??On top of the repair costs, Ive been paying for Uber to and from work as this is our only vehicle. My husband has missed 2 days of work, 3 if they cant get the car back to us this evening.Never again! Next time we need a repair Ill be taking it to Christian Bros.

I want to start by saying that everyone I have encountered here has always been nice and profession. The issue I have every time I come in here is that they are ridiculously slow in their work. I understand good works requires time, but 3 hours for an oil change? There was no car in front of me and my truck went right in first and still took 3 hours? And only after that tried to tell me my back parking brake was locked onto my back rotors. Guess what?!?! They never disengaged my parking brake before they drove and worked on my truck. Genius. I won’t be returning.

Took a car by for one of our customers that clearly had a huge bubble in the side of the tire and the tire was in really good shape attendant on duty was extremely rude and very argumentative even though we did not opt to purchase the road hazard warranty the tire was still defective was very disappointed in this kind of customer service and the person did not even begin to offer any kind of assistance at all customer service was absolutely horrible

I have been taking my truck to all of the Acworth servicing places to get a 4 wheel alignment. Every single one has been either short cutting me or just charging me and not doing my rear. I have been driving a unsafe vehicle for awhile. I went to this Pepboys location to purchase new Cooper tires and they actually gave me a REAL 4 wheel alignment with REAL spec sheet. My SUV rides so much better and smooth. I truly left Anxiety FREE. Thanks for the Honesty, Great Service and comfort. The store Manager is always helpful and my hat goes off to Zach & James. I would give them 10🌟 if I could, the way these other shops would treat you. I walked in no appointment compared to having to wait 2 weeks for the next open spot to check out alignment issues....

I LOVE this location. I literally drive from Atlanta (screw the Howell mill pep boys) to acworth so that THIS location can service my car. I have had excellent service just about every time. About a month or two ago- they had this terrible disgusting unprofessional employee, LYRIC. And thankfully Lyric is GONE!! She was awful. Awful to the point that I thought I’d need to switch to another Pep Boys location, again. Grateful they heard their customers and employees complaints about this woman and brought back the other young lady from the Cartersville store. Was very pleased to see her here this afternoon. Service is great and honest. Well as honest as a commercialized mechanic can be. If you have an appointment for service they are typically on the ball and ready to get your car taken care of, and you on the road again!

Avoid this place at all cost!! First of all the new manager is extremely rude and needs training on customer service skills! We have taken two vehicles here for service the first one we had to take back 6 times bc of things they didnt do properly however the old manager that was there did admit that they were at fault and eventually fixed everything free of charge so we decided to take our 2015 tahoe here for a brake job unaware of the new management they did not property install our brake pads which resulted in our rotors getting warped a week later leaving my wife and kids stranded when i called the new manager advised me to let my wife and kids drive the vehicle with the brakes not properly working they eventually agreed to send a tow truck then would not admit failt we ended up having to have the vehicle towed to our dealetship and pay another $340 after paying pepboys $550 abspulote worse expierence the store part of this pepboy is already going out of buisness the mechanic department will he next if they dont get rid of this manager!

3 hours for an oil change with an appointment.Windshield washer fluid light was stilon when I left after discussing it with them 3 times.65 dollars for the oil change.FRESH New scratches on car from them backing it out of the bay on my bumper and my car has a backup camera.Nothing done.This place has gone dramatically down hill in the last three months...Awful managementNot going back

They said they couldent break free a nut to do it and they are just going to cut it off and completly replace the part... Ummm ok can we try harder first? Nope. A complete joke! I needed a front wheel berring for my truck and I needed it installed . They quoted me a price for $646.00. The part at OReilly Auto is $149 and I decided to put it on myself. It took me no time at all to put it on. I can understand being in business and your in it to make money, I Get that, but to completely take advantage of someone like that is ridiculous! I would give them zero stars if it would let me.

Let me start off by saying I NEVER write reviews, but with the god awful service I received at pepboys I need to make sure other people know about the shady and uneducated employees that pepboys hires. I came in to get some tires mounted and balanced and get an alignment done. After 3 hours of waiting I go to pay and to get a copy of the alignment sheet as most tire shops provide to show you the adjustments they made. The “manager” then acts as if the printer is acting up, even shining a flashlight on it acting like he’s investigating it. He then tells me sorry I can’t print out the alignment sheet. and I figure ah it’s alright, and proceed to pay Then on my way home I notice the car starts to vibrate at higher speeds so I take it on the highway and hit about 75 mph and my god you would have thought you were on a space shuttle flying through a meteor shower. I then take the car back the very next day and inform the guy that was at the counter and say I need my car looked at because it shakes violently at high speeds. He then tells me there’s no “technicians” on duty.... at 2 o’clock in the afternoon...... I then take my car to another shop later to find out that they mounted the tires wrong, balanced them wrong, never even did the alignment, and put 80 psi in one of my rear tires! This place is an absolute joke, surprised they haven’t killed someone yet. I’ll make sure everyone I come in contact with never takes their car to pepboys...

Stopped @ the acworth Pepboys, the A team (James, Chris, and David) took great care of me. Definitely 5 star all the way.

Came here a few months ago. I was told it would take 30 minutes to changey ok Ill and it ended up taking almost 2 hours. The manager made up for it. Other than that time they are pretty good.

This place had an absolutely fantastic service! I was in a hurry and came to the store with a need for a quick car inspection during their cram packed busy last hours before closing...An employee named Jeff, like a knight in shining armor, came to my aid and with the help of an employee named Sean (or shaun/shawn you get the idea) they got the job done and got it done right! Everyone was friendly, professional, and worked hard so I will definitely be coming back.

I had a Enterprise rental and they have contract with Pep Boys. They replaced my blades with no problem, thank you chris

My truck was broke down I didnt know where I was at I knew always in Acworth but other than that did not know the area I called my insurance company and they sent me to another repair shop that was close on a Sunday at 5:40 in the afternoon notice at this store was open till 6 on a Sunday called and was able to get my truck towed the extra mile there the manager took care of me completely I would recommend this place to anyone they are super sweet and everybody was shut down they were closing up and he still took me in and fix my car so I could get on the road and get home with my two little ones awesome awesome store I cant say enough good things about them

15 minutes = 2 hoursOnly good thing about this place is they get the work done, eventually.

My car broke down a few miles from Pep Boys in Acworth and I didn’t know what to do. It was after hours so I searched for a place still open and got Nick on the phone. He told me if I could get my car to him he would check it over good and let me know what was going on. It was almost closing time but he found my problem and gave me confidence to get home safely. Nick in Acworth is the BEST! I am a Pep Boys customer for life!

I visit pep boys on cobb parkway in acworth often. This morning i knew exactly what i needed and when i came i saw 3 employees. One was with a customer while one was behind the check out on the phone. I picked up my item and stood at the check out waiting to pay. The woman never looked up or even acknowledged that i was there. She knew i was in front of her but her business was more important than a valued customer. I laid down my mdse. And walked out. Ther are too many Advance and auto zone stores i can go to but i chose pep boys. I am sorry but i may not be back.

Terrible experience! Got new brakes and tires last summer, got a nail in a tire.... Wouldnt fix wouldnt warranty! Told me only option was to buy a new tire and because they didnt make my kind of tire I had to buy there house brand! 1 mile up the road discount tire had my brand and for 50 dollars less then theirs! Never again pep girls, thank u discount tires

Good staff, make an appointment, get helped immediately. Simple as that. Didnt have the seat covers for my car though.

I came here after being ripped off twice by two different car service companies that promised top notch service but delivering a nightmare and not to name names or anything but it rhymed with iffy boob and heineke... anyhoo came here jaded and frustrated and left with rainbows coming out of my...eyes. No, seriously they were great. Cameron worked with me to make sure they checked everything and brought me the game plan. We decided on what to take care of first and went from there. Cameron was great at giving me updates and even looked for the parts that were both cost effective and reliable saving me money and still giving me piece of mind. The guys fixing my car were efficient and thorough. Come here if you love not paying someone to rip you off...Okay all done now...sorry for the long post...potato

Buy far the worst place Ive dealt with trying to buy parts, will not ever do business with this place again. As for being in the mechanical field for over 17 years Ive never dealt with parts dealers having the worst attitudes and dont even have the proper knowledge to even to be selling parts. Than the store manager tries to explain that rebuilt goes through a different process than new parts being assembled and they will always cost more than new parts. BS.

This is your average auto parts store really nothing much to say special was treated very well when making my purchases did have a little trouble getting help about tools not many people only sell for to help customers theyre all behind either a cash register or a parts counter it would be great if they would hire at least two people to walk B cells for asking and someone needed help with something

We were traveling from Chattanooga home to South Carolina and had a flat tire. We put on the spare and it started leaking and we needed to find a new tire in order to get home. It was 7:00 in the evening and after calling multiple places we finally found Pep Boys in Ackworth. Cody Burton excelled in customer service. He plugged the original tire, put it on our car and got us back on the road. Thank you Cody. You are a true asset to the Pep Boys Corporation.

Decent place for generic items. Mechanical work isnt too be trusted.
