I didnt catch the young ladys name that helped me but she was awesome!! I showed her a pic of the dress I planned on wearing for my maternity shoot and what makeup brand I was interested in but was unsure about colors. I also explained some issues I had with my current makeup routine and she was able to point me to solutions that could correct them. All in all it was a great experience. My pics are going to be awesome!

I needed to get highlights done pronto and I was able to get into Ulta. My appointment was with Echo. She is very knowledgeable and did an exceptional job!!!! She also suggested product for my hair and Im ABOVE AND BEYOND ecstatic with the results and my experience! Ulta is amazing and if u can get in with Echo, you wont be disappointed!!!

Went to ulta today to buy new foundation. The girl who helped me color match was awesome. Got to check out. the girl who is checking me out goes to the stash of free gifts but then comes back empty handed and says nothing. I remembered seeing online that this foundation came with a free gift. I asked her about it and she just said “yea but we don’t have it”. Ok cool, were you just going to hope I didn’t ask? I said ok can a get a voucher or one of the other free gifts they had, she asked the person who appeared to be a manager and I could hear her say “just tell her we don’t have anything”. This person makes 0 eye contact. I normally love getting the free gift as its normally an opportunity for me to try a new product that I would come back to buy…. Guess marketing doesn’t make sense to these girls. Or customer service.

I was going into ulta one day to change to makeup brands that are cruelty-free , I did some research & noticed a brand that wasn’t. I went into the store for some help looking for the brands that don’t test on animals & as I informed an employee that NARS was not cruelty-free they had told me that they completely are & have been for a while. That day I got some blush from the brand & I also got a credit card & downloaded the app. I searched up on the app all cruelty-free brands (to look at more stuff) & NARS in fact was not on there. I just want to say I know they are doing their best but please don’t inform me that a brand is cruelty-free when it’s not..

It was a freaky Friday...I just didn’t know how freaky it was going to get.Like most women I want to be chic and cool. Like the girls and guys on the instas and the YouTubes. So when you want something high class in the beauty realm often times Ulta will come to mind. I mean, they have it ALL. If you want to be pretty, just walk in there grab your war paint and carry on! So when I was thinking of making a dramatic cut to my hair I really thought hard on where would be the perfect place to go.Now we live in Abilene...so glitz and glam isn’t readily available on every corner. So having an Ulta here is as luxurious as the north Walmart. It makes us happy to have something special in this dust bowl.I’ve had my hair cut here before and it hasn’t been bad. A little overpriced in my book but I’m the kinda girl who thinks $12 is too much for a bottle of wine. 🤷🏽‍♀️So let’s jump to the incident. First and foremost I don’t make a habit of judging people by appearance. So when I saw my hairdresser I wasn’t put off my the excessive facial piercings and the extreme hair color as I think expressing yourself through your appearance is highly recommended. Let’s just say she had a very Bellatrix vibe. You go girl.What made me nervous was that she was nervous. I didn’t feel like there was any reason why we were both nervous? Why was she nervous? She was very upbeat and happy but also had this strange concerned look on her face as she was slicing and dicing my hair. Did I mention this made me nervous?Let’s fast forward to an hour and 10 mins of hair cutting. One of our conversations went as such:Bellatrix: Do you see anything you want me to fix?Me: um there’s a chunk of hair you missed here. (Points to strand)Bellatrix: oops.Me: (concerned)She started cutting away on that one side and when she was finished she stood behind me and now I had two different length sides. So she tilted my head slightly to one side to even them out. Brilliant really...Mind you at this point my hair cut was closing in on 2 hours long. The store had closed, and someone was patently waiting for this drawn out appointment to come to an end. And I think both Bellatrix and I had come to the agreement that she should put down the scissors and go home. It seemed to be a long day for both of us.I paid, tipped, and left. After all she did try her hardest to get the cut right. I just didn’t think she had the experience/education to make it work. It happens to the best of us.When I got home I styled my hair like I normally do and that’s when it hit me. Bellatrix bamboozled me. It was worse than I thought. There were many things that came to mind...did she close her eyes and use the force to cut my hair? Was I attacked by a group of wild animals on the way home? Did she learn her technique from watching Edward Scissorhands? I was mad but the whole situation was kind of comical. So as any person in 2019 I went to social media for advice. The response was what I expected it to be. Uplifting words and confused comments I even had a meme made for me.In conclusion I was determined that I was just gonna walk back in there and ask for the ol’ Haircuto Reparo. But decided maybe to head back to another hair salon called Avanti. They hooked these strands up!In conclusion, I have heard there are great stylists at Ulta. And honestly I’d love to give a better review. Maybe Bellatrix just missed the lesson on a-lines?

I went to this Ulta a few weeks ago. The representative, Nathan was so helpful. I was needing some make up that matched my skin better and to make sure it stayed on longer throughout the day. I have been using the different products since and have been loving them! Nathan was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable.

I just got my hair done, LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! although for the life of me I cant remember the ladys name that did my hair she was super sweet though and talked to me it wasnt awkward at all. it did take 5 in a half hours but thats just how long it takes. Hair looks stunning thank you!!

Beware of manager Susan Roberson she one of a kind!!!! I’ve been shopping there for 5 years and the other day I was returning some perfume my daughter didn’t like and unfortunately it came with a bag when I bought it and my daughter didn’t like so she gave it to her friend weeks ago. This manager refused to return it saying she needed the gift back too. Really????? First time in 5 years anyone at this store said this, they always refused to take the gift with purchase I tried to give them. I called corporate and they said that is not their policy you keep the gift. They profusely apologized for this managers rediculous request and sent me a shipping label. God forbid if I had to return grandmas robe she got last year!!! I guess this manager will resale a used robe?????? Wow!!!!! Unbelievable manager!!! Stay away if you have any returns.

It was a very lovely environment. I went in on a Saturday to get my eyebrows done for the first time, and they came out wonderful. The makeup lesson was very helpful (as someone who is a makeup mega-newbie). Their facial services were very good too. They worked around my oily face and made accommodations on finding out. Lastly, they even gave additional recommendations on things they had no obligation to give, like pn my oily hair. I ended up getting some shampoo and conditioner for my hair based on additional tips. They have a very open and nice, and their staff is very diverse, which allows for anyone with any skin tone, skin quality, and gender can be accommodated here. I definitely recommend this Ulta.

If you need a hair stylist definitely go to Brooke Crowe! She has always done THE BEST job on my cuts and color, and trust me I’m not always easy to please. Brooke is a true artist, she always makes me look and feel great and here’s the best part: she’s really fast! I don’t know how she does it, but I’m glad she’s there to make my crazy hair look hipster awesome.

Pricey but has everything but good help in hair salon

Okay soooooooooooo...... I don’t usually complain but I have to complain about the salon I never ask much of my stylist either and I am usually very flexible on my hair I’m not much of a complainer either........ however I spent 5 hours at the salon to have my hair fixed and to go to more of a natural look well something that was only suppose to take 2 to 2.5 hours took 5 hours well I was only suppose to be charged 240$ I was charged $500 dollars. I was lied to and taken advantage of and I will never return to the salon portion of the store my make-up I know what I like and I’ll go into there for that. BUT, that’s it. The girl did do an amazing job but she lied not only about the price but how long it was going to take I’m pregnant and need to be able to find a job after my baby that’s why I intended of getting my hair fixed...and so I needed to get my hair fixed and not look so raggedy but I can’t afford $500 ever again also I’ve never once been charged $500 for my hair to get fixed so she really screwed me over and took advantage on top of it all she didn’t give all her attention to me wasn’t focused on me and my hair.. the other stylist kept asking if she had time to do cuts so instead of paying attention to my hair she went and cut others hair I’m sorry but when you are with a client don’t you think they should stick with that one client?... again do not go to the salon! And ask for a color correction because they will bamboozle you out of your money! Such a shame can’t wait to find a new stylist!

Brooke gave me a fantastic haircut! Im reluctant to recommend her because appointments with her will become more difficult to get. She cut off over 10 inches of my hair today and it looks great.

Love, love, love the makeup artists, the brow/lash people, hairdressers. The ladies who are taking the money arent quite as popular , maybe because first question they ask is your phone number and I resent that, as do others. They seem rote in their exchanges but Ive never thought them rude. Prices are a little high and sales arent so great but I will still be a customer.

I can’t remember the girls name who cut my hair but she was new. She was awesome. I hadn’t cut my hair in over a decade and i could literally sit on my hair. I was nervous about chopping it off, due to bad past experiences with hair salons but she didn’t make decisions for me. Did everything the way I planned for it to be and had a good convo the whole time. Definitely would go back and recommend. I also like the tip option at payout. I love ulta, the vibes, and the people who work there. So fun!!

Seemed like a average semi-expensive cosmetics store to me.

Went in this Ulta for a quick brow wax while out of town and when I went to check out I asked to use my reward points (platinum member for the last 3 or 4 years and have over 1000 points) and was told I couldnt. Mind you I use them all the time for my brows at my home store (San Angelo). After being very rude since I didnt have time to go grab some cash due to them about to close I was told I could come pay it tomorrow. But was also threatened with the fact that if I didnt pay for my $21 brow wax I would have a police report filed on me. As a customer who spends quite a lot of money hence the 1000+ points I thought this was very petty. Definitely will make sure I go to Sephore from now on when in Abilene.

They have a biggest selection than Sephora for both men and women which is great because I can go shop for my colones, also they have better prices than Dillards with less hustle and no rush to buy something. The staff is very attentive. This is the place to buy colones!

The Salon at Ulta is amazing! I had the pleasure of having a knowledgeable stylist! Her name is Larrah & she was able to transform my hair in a small amount of time. Larrah color corrected my hair & corrected my haircut as well. When I left I felt amazing! Proud of my hair & now I have a great stylist!

People know absolutely nothing here. I asked for help she pointed and walked off. The manger isn’t helpful fixing the issues. I tried to use my ulta points she told me she doesn’t know how to and said oh well bye. Very rude staff with very little experience in makeup! Hair people are great but if you are ready to buy make up know what you’re getting and don’t ask questions unless you want them to be rude to you.

You will find everything from individual perfumes from: Burberry to Prada to Dior to Versace and everyone in between. From small purse size rollerball fragrances to individual full sizes to gift sets in both men and women fragrances/cologne. The makeup/beauty area is quite large considering, and compared to some Ulta stores Ive been to at other locations.They have makeup from brands such as Revlon to Covergirl to Tarte to Benefit and many others including their own brand. The hair care brands are those such as Paul Mitchell to Redken to Pureology to Biologe to Anti-thinning shampoo and conditioners. The location even has hairstylists that take both walk-in and appointment haircuts, perms and color. Another good thing about this location is that even though it is located at The Mall of Abilene, it is a store that has two entrance/exits because it is a main store for the mall. It is located between Chuck E. Cheeses Pizza and Books A Million. Also another plus is that the parking is free and there is plenty of it.

Went to have a hair trial for my wedding with Miss Brooke ... Big mistake. My hair is shoulder length and I was hoping for a simple low updo or half up do. I tried to show her some Pinterest photos I had found but she wouldnt even glance at them. Then she washed my baby fine hair naturally curly hair and took all the body out of it. Then she straightened it completely flat with a flattening iron and like half a can of hair spray. She then told me it wasnt long enough to put up, which made it even more funny because then she suggested a sleek low pony. But she didnt even have a ponytail band to show me! How does a salon not have ponytail bands?!? At this point she hadnt done one thing to my hair I couldnt have done myself at home and I was just trying to get out of the chair. Im never going back and wont be suggesting ULTA to any of my friends.

First time ever going to this ULTA here in Abilene. Was looking for some primer and setting spray and seen they were now carrying the brand. I was walking around looking lost and not one person asked if they could help me with anything. They just looked at me and walked away. So I took my money to Sephora and spent way more than I would have at ULTA. I will not be returning this store anytime soon horrible customer service!

Dont gp for a wax! I went for brow & lip waxing and she only waxed a tiny strip and it looked so silly! My eyebrows look like they havent even been touched, I wasted my time and money so save yours and go to wildflower day spa!!! I am highly disappointed! Amazing experience! Had a stylist at a different salon bleach spots and stripes into my hair for 4 hours. Came to This Ulta location to have Larrah fix it in 2 hours. She was very nice and professional, gave me lots information on how to care for my hair afterwards. So glad I came here and was taken care of by Larrah! Shes the best!
